Juicing fruits/vegetables for therapeutic relief
I am wondering if anyone has tried this? I have historically had a bad diet and mostly ate/drank red meat, white meat, sea food, white starches, soda, juice, products with salt/sodium, fast food, microwavable food, foods high in preservatives, caffeine (coffee, energy drinks, yerba mate), and sweets ...

Re: On going erection problems
I typically don't have that problem. Kind of the opposite. I went on a date and we briefly kissed before departing and I started getting hard. Some other chick started touching my leg in my car and I got a full on erection, ahahaha.

Re: New Guy here, My STRUGGLE (long story)
Anyways since you have struggled with social situations, eye contact, body language, and posture how did you meet your girlfriend?
Well for me a couple of things helped...
I decided a few years ago to get into shape. That is helped a lot with my confidence.

Just out of curiosity what kind of job do you have and how did it help you with socialization?
I have the same job as before in the IT field, but the current one since it its a more respected government agency we move a lot outside the office and always have meetings and seminars and are close ...

Re: Any interest in a Southern California support group?
critthinker,
Darn we just missed each other. I had not logged on for about a year and just got involved again. I think it is because my symptoms are not debilitating, more of a 24 hour discomfort that I have learned to deal with, kind of....

Re: New Guy here, My STRUGGLE (long story)
Very interesting post, Gesundheit! I hope others comment, but just want to say that elements of obsession are very common in our patient group. Obsession and OCD are Anxiety Spectrum disorders.

Re: New Guy here, My STRUGGLE (long story)
This sounds like me a lot!
I used to struggle with social situations but now I've become much better. I'm actually quite good at meeting people. I still have a difficult time keeping eye contact and my body language is terrible. I also have poor posture.

Re: New Guy here, My STRUGGLE (long story)
fobo,
I had a feeling some people here could relate to my experience. I have had issues with socialization most of my life pre-dating CPPS. It is in fact just as big as a struggle as my fight with CPPS. I am glad to finally have an answer to why I am the way I am. I think the most frustrating part ...

Anyone have Asperger's Syndrome, OCD, ADHD and CPPS?
I am not sure if there is any correlation between having the aforementioned disorders and CPPS. I have a combination of all of those in one way or another. For those unfamiliar with Asperger's Syndrome (high functioning form of autism) specifically, those affected tend to have significant ...

Re: My Story, My Blessings, & Your Inputs
Hi sufferinginpain I can relate,
Before the onset of my chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome 5 years ago, I suffered from dysfunctional bowel movements since age 14. Keep in mind this was 9 years before my chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms started. My anal ...

Re: Any interest in a Southern California support group?
I live in Huntington Beach (Orange County) I would not mind driving to LA to meet this group. I have never met anyone else with chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome and the people I have told really can't relate to me in any way. This would be awesome. I will send an e-mail to the ...

Lifting weights?
I am curious if it is ok to lift weights with CPPS? Not that I am a body builder, quite the contrary I had a very late start in lifting weights. I literally started lifting 10 lb dumbbells at the ripe age of 21 and did not even start getting more serious to going to the gym until after 25 ...

Re: Why marijuana is an irritant to CPPS
I guess I am one of those chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome users that still uses Cannabis and can't stop. In my case most of the negative side effects have been allergy related or anxiety every once in awhile. I suffered with panic attacks and anxiety from 2007-2009. Sometimes ...

Re: Sex vs Masturbation
I think one of the biggest misconceptions I hear from those with chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome is that it's a bad idea to tell women about it. I think some of this depends on how serious you are about someone, but I haven't had any problems at all discussing it with girls I've ...

But I'm thinking how many females out there would be willing to do that!?? They probably would rather just be with some Bro with tattoos who would pound her like a champ. Ah well....
