I am 35 years old and have had prostatitis since 1993. I was able to live with it until August 2003 when I started getting very bad pelvic pains. I was waking up 3 times a night to urinate and there were some days when I couldn`t urinate at all. In september I saw a urologist, went through all the tests but all were negative. Losing faith in the medical profession I decided to cure myself....Following advice from other members I have done the following:
  • Eat a cup of pumkin seeds a day - helped by bowel movement/good source of Vitamin E
  • Take 2 tablespoons of flaxseed oil a day with meals
  • Only drink mineral water...nothing else
  • Take Zinc, magnesium, Vitamin E, garlic oil and saw palmetto
  • Take Cernilton - helps me urinate regularly
  • Eat plenty of salmon instead of meat
  • Only use olive oil in cooking
  • Take 2 any accredited quercetin product tablets a day
  • Avoid dairy foods, alcohol, spicey foods
  • Cut down on sex from everyday to just 3 times a week
I hope this helps....I am not cured but have seen results in a month

I believe constipation triggered my prostatitis and the pumpkin seeds I feel have improved my overall health...anyone else with constipation might want to try this natural laxative

That's terrific news tokyo! I hope you continue to make progress.

I too have had to deal with constipation, but dietary modifications have helped to maintain regularity.
