Hey Alpha,

I have problems occasionally with tight pants too. They're uncomfortable and constricting. Sometimes they hurt my testicles. If I'm traveling for long distances I always wear shorts. I'm at the point now that I don't really wear jeans often. I still wear considerably narrow / tight pants but they are usually a pair of slacks or dress pants I guess you would call them. I too share your worries about PNE but from what I understand PNE and chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome are very similar. I think that if you treat the chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome you provide a better environment for the nerves in your pelvic region and that should calm your fears about PNE. People with PNE generally can't even sit at all.

Honestly I think the tight jeans problem could happen to anyone, even people without CPPS. You're simply wearing something that constricts blood flow.
Age: 27 | Onset Age: 26| Symptoms: Occasional penis discomfort (mild), primary pain is perineum - feels like I'm sitting on a golf ball, pressure in penis, almost like a stick is in my urethra, difficulty sitting for long periods of time, urinary frequency (some), incontinence (dribbling), right testicle pain (almost gone!), hip pain, stiff hips, lower back pain. Some abdomen pain. Just general discomfort in the area, post sex discomfort. | Helped By: External and Internal PT. Hot bathes. Supplements (mag, omega 3, vitamin b and D, prosta Q). Relaxing. Breathing exercises. Anti inflammatory diet. Stretches. Yoga | Worsened By: Stress. Core exercises, too much exercise, too little exercise, strenuous exercise. Sitting. Too much Sex | Other comments: Feeling better, but still not 100% I'd say I'm 75%

I am familiar with this issue, tight pants or tight anything for that matter can cause discomfort, definitely neuropathy, hypersensitivity in the tip of the penis as well as the rest of the pelvic region. This is one of the extremely annoying symptoms, fortunately for me within the past 7 months of doing the protocol this does not bother me anymore and I find my hypersensitivity is at an all time low.
Age: 24 | Onset Age: 17 | Symptoms: Rare flares with debilitating burning at tip of penis. Sometimes strange pain down legs to feet. Sometime Urgency and Frequency as well as hesitation | Helped By: Self therapy as well as once monthly physical therapist meetings. Relaxation of pelvic muscles. Quit Smoking. | Worsened By: pelvic floor tightening. Anxiety

I wear pretty tight jeans and have for the last 5 years or so. I don't get a huge issue from it but I can tell its made my external muscle tightness worse at times. The things we do for fashion eh. ;)

I don't think I'd worry about the nerve thing. Almost everyone on this forum has gone through that scare phase. If it was a clear nerve issue I think you'd have no doubt about it. Treating for chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome can't hurt either way. I can just say from experience that we have all feared the nerve thing at one point or another. Usually in the darkest moments of this condition. It takes some time but wait 6 months and you will see some sort of break in your condition that will set your mind at ease. Just do what this website suggests and feel it out over a little time. ;)

Haha, thanks for the motivation. Thing is, I probably have chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome longer than you! :D It was just impossible until recently to find anybody near Germany who was eductated in treating it, so I just tried out things on my own the last few years. Self-Treatment with fingers, stretching, exercise, cold showers, relaxation. There where some periods of time, were I got better, but overall the condition changed slightly to the worse.

Fortunately now I am aware of the Pelvic Pain clinic in the Netherlands and several other physicians and physical therapists in central Europe, which are educated about CPPS. So when I come back to Germany in autuum (I am in Asia right now) I will get professional help (as far as a poor student can afford it ^^).

Recently I just read to much in forums with people who deal with Pudendal Neuropathy and I got scared, because I do not make any progress with my self-treatment program of internal massage and stretches, but probably I just need professional guidance. Also I have so weird symptoms like changed feeling in the skin of the penis and penishead and tingling in the legs, as well as this problem with tight pants, but I guess chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome can just cause all those different, strange symptoms. Because of course our muscle tension also influences the nerves and irritates them.

So yeah, I guess my plan is to save money and visit the chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome clinic in holland as soon as possible.
Also webslave at one instance mentioned that the Stanford team will come to Europe at one point, anybody knows more about that?
Age: 26 | Onset Age: 16 (but got much worse around 22) | Symptoms: hard, cold flaccid penis; reduced sensation/numbness; diminished erections; premature ejaculation; urinary frequency; burning urination; urgency (bladder and urethea inflammation); painful ejaculation | Helped By: Exercise, cold shower, internal massage, massage of inner tights, abstinence, stretching | Worsened By: sex/masturbation; working on the computer too long | Other comments: I am always worrying it is nerve-related and cannot heal naturally.

Dvdx2, other than phytopharmaceuticals like Quercetin, no.

Not enough interest was shown by PTs. It was mostly for them it was to be held. :(

Strange feeling in the skin and the tip of the penis head is very common in CPPS.

That is really a shame. I find it infuriating, that basically every Urologist in Germany is completely oblivious of anything related to chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome AND that also basically no PT is familiar with male pelvic pain disorders, much less Internal Triggerpoint therapy. Forcing us to go to much smaller neighbour countries, wasting half on the money on transport and accommodation, not being able to communicate in my mothertongue.

Even Europe-wide you can count chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome aware practitioners on one hand, and then when the opportunity arises to get advanced training in this crucial "new" field of treatment, there is no interest? :boom: Not only is this condition complicating enough in itself, its also incredible difficult to find professional medical help.

I guess than, the chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome clinic in NL is still the best option to go and receive treatment, what do you think?

Well its not just a feeling, the skin on my penis literally chanced, one day I woke up and the skin feels rubber-like, like coarse paper, dry but also sticky and the penishead feels mushy and much less sensitive to touch. I think I do not even know how to describe it, but it feels strange and uncomfortable.

I file this symptoms under "weird, unexplainable chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome side-effects". ;) I hope it will just self-correct when the muscles/nerves start to relax and heal someday.

Yes, if you cannot make it to the US for the original Wise-Anderson Protocol clinic, then the Dutch clinic is the next best thing, I'd say.

Tip of the penis discoloration due to neuropathy, irritated nerves... at least that's how I've seen it be explained before. Just like your skin would turn red when irritated enough.

Anatomical question: burning along the inner pubic bone

Post by Alphalifestyle »

Hey,
while I do Internal Selfmassage in the last few weeks, I discovered, that the center of pain/uncomfort, is a line from the lower edge of the Pubis bone to the highest point of it, at 12 o clock, so its the line palpated on the front, after insertion of a finger into the anus. It feels like their is a kind of tube, which is extremly painful and burning when pressed. Also it gives me a urge to urinate most of the time! The surrounding muscles also feel painful, but this straight line along the pubic bone is the worst.

So, out of ignorance, what is that tube? A Nerve? The Urethra? Sometimes after internal massage this area gets even more inflamed/painful.
How should I deal with it? The area itself seems to just be the pubic bone with this tube in the middle which burns. I probably should not massage this area directly... I just want to understand what this exactly is anatomically and how I can relieve the burning feeling in this area. Is it refered pain from tight muscles higher up? If I understand correct the nerves that lead to the penis come from the sides of the pelvic floor to the penis they dont run straight down along the middle of the pubicbone right? So could it be that my Urethra/Bladder is chronically irritated? Can the Urethra be palpated from the inside and feel burning?

Please help me, this is a big sticking point for me, because I am not sure what it is that is painful!

Also I feel stupid but I cannot locate the prostate. How does it feel exactly? I imagine a round, balllike structure, but I am unable to locate it. :S

Edit:
Also would appriciate if someone can point me to some videos or details picture series to really get a grip of the pelvic floor anatomy. It still feels like unknown territory. I want a clear picture of where do which nerve run through, where lies which organ/muscle. A 3D animation/model or video on youtube in good resolution would all be very helpful!

Just to reassure you...

Today I went to a new job and I was wearing slimmer pants and I had some pretty bad pain in my legs today. Was okay to sit at a desk with no discomfort, aside from the leg pain. I think that its just the pants causing sensitivity, which you are more susceptible to.

Ok, thanks. "Great" news. My girlfriend also complains now, that I wear "Grandpa" pants, because I wear pretty loose fitting Chino pants most of the time. ^^ Hey and davyboy, I would be interested to learn more about your diet, if you dont mind, maybe via PM.

I dont think there is a PMing option anymore! I'd be willing to speak about the diet more though. Its been helping me for sure.

Yea! The pants thing is annoying! Sometimes I just want to have the button undone all day. Try a mid day stretch break where you put on shorts. I'm going to try it out at work today.
