Re: The exercise question again...
Scooby,
How would you say the overall change has been since you started lifting again? In general worse? In general better? The same? I'm noticing some better weeks this last week as I've stopped all exercise, but it may also be that I am taking more time relaxing instead of running to the gym on my lunch break? It definitely helps with my hypersensitivity to work out - that is one of my worst symptoms and for the evening following a work out I often feel MUCH better (sometimes even completely) - I want to try adding it back in in about a month and see how it goes.

ejaculation pain and decrease in volume/intensity
Anyone narrowed down a trigger point or reason for the significant decrease in volume/intensity of ejaculate or the penis tip pain (feels different than then hypersensitivity I normally feel during the day from CPPS) during ejaculation?
Thoughts?
Thanks guys!

Re: ejaculation pain and decrease in volume/intensity
I have had a decrease in ejaculate. I noticed this early on. I still have it as well as it thickening and more of a yellow color due to more white blood cells caused by inflammation. Intensity of it shooting out has decreased as well. I think this is a sure sign of a muscle problem. I always have a split urine stream as well. I think the muscles won't relax.

eyelid redness/swelling
Ok - I know that we all have crazy symptoms, but I don't know what to make of this one. Since this disease started I've been getting some single-eye (used to be left, but this time it's the right) lid swelling. It starts to ache and then it swells slightly and gets red. My eye gets a little crusty, but nothing major. There isn't any redness in the eye, though it does get a little glassy. And the weird part, it make my pelvic pain less intense. Any thoughts??? Anyone else with this symptom?

Re: eyelid redness/swelling
I go through strange flare ups in my pelvic floor related to diet that end with swelling in my nostrils and intense pain at the tip of the nose. Really weird and totally unrelated but maybe there is some sort of connection? After these sorts of flares I usually end up feeling better for a few days.
Age: 33 | Onset Age: 28
Flare | Symptoms: burning after urination/defecation, post-urinary dribbling, low libido, low arousal, pelvic aches and pains.
Helped By: Physical therapy of the levator ani muscle group, Relaxation, Diet
Worsened By: Eating refined sugar and gluten, coffee, beer, stress

Re: eyelid redness/swelling
When you have CPPS, you will have more pro-inflammatory chemicals in the body, or put another way, less anti-inflammatory chemicals (think cortisol). So you are more likely to have problems with inflammation.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Re: eyelid redness/swelling
Webslave, I definitely agree this is probably all connected - yet my cortisol levels and all my other adrenal levels are normal...perhaps some of us have something else going on?

Re: eyelid redness/swelling
I wouldn't simply accept that your cortisol levels are normal. Rod Anderson found CPPSers have abnormally low levels of cortisol when stressed. A simple resting test of cortisol is insufficient.

Re: eyelid redness/swelling
Stuff with eyes, (usually blurry vision), sinusitis, and tooth pain seem to be reported by many. Many with sinusitis report problems with the eyes (usually pain) as the sinuses surround that area. Whether its a reaction to anxiety about chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome or the adrenal problem, resulting in inflammatory responses mentioned in susceptible areas seems plausible. I would imagine experimentation with remedies for the adrenal problem, may be fruitful if there are any.

Re: eyelid redness/swelling
My mother recently confided to her voice coach about my problem and turns out he too suffered from CPPS. Like Popburner had irritation in the eyes along with the typical urinary and pelvic pain problems here.
Suffered for 4 years until he went on immunomodulatory drugs.
He's been fine for years.

Age:37 | Onset Age: 35 | Symptoms: pain in testicles that comes and goes that also switches sides-trying to find a pattern as to "why" this happens/Rectal Burn at the 6 O'clock position at my anus which tends to flare around the periphery of my anus typically after defication but no perineum pain-no "golf ball" pain. Pain in testicles worsens as I sit but not always...Pain is not always present but depresses me. Pain used to be at a very high level but has subsided in time to a low level but has not gone away. Pain used to flare after sex but not as much as before although it still like playing russian roulette./

This is significant. To me this proves the hypothesis (at least in some patients) and also provides a treatment option
