I bought mine a couple years ago from an ebay seller in the US - delivery was just fine. Worth a look.

I had that, and it seemed to be linked to one specific TrP.

Not diarrhoea no, but sometimes I do get what I call a day of nothing but sheep droppings - lots of effort to get them out and when they do pop out, well, they look like sheeps droppings! Though I blame this on my diet as I know I dont eat enough fibre at the moment......

Never seen sheep droppings, but if they are like pellets or stones that would be it. Alternating with the opposite.

Yes little stones/pellets I would say - why, does this have any significance?

Not sure if its just a symptom of constipation in general, or the muscle spasm that is significant with the levator muscles and CPPS. You can try metamucil, benefiber, or citrucel. I have had no significant consistent success with any of them. Others have mentioned products that aren't powder like. These may be better. The pain seems to refer directly to the pubic bone or a stabbing or "stick" pain or general abdominal discomfort several inches below the belly button. I think the solution is the solution to the pelvic pain. (for now, Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol)

New job

Post by garyholc »

Well, a bit of good news today. Been really depressed the past few months, rock bottom, thankfully a bit of good news today, I had an interview last week for a very good job with a big company, and they rang today to say I have got it. Has lifted me up loads and I am hoping that this is the start to a better year for me, and hopefully, feeling happier will help to reduce my symptoms. I've been pretty good lately symptom wise, just burning in the rear lately, and still the low tummy ache, but I'm off up to see Bill next month so that should be interesting. But anyway, a good start to 2008 for me :)

However, hovering over all this joy at the moment is my worry in the back of my head, that this condition will take the shine off it, and dare I say flare up and make me miserable in my new job - I know, I know, I shouldnt think it, but one can't help it :(

Congratulations Mate on a new job. I know the apprehension in the back of your mind, but try to enjoy the opportunity with the new company. Hopefully this will be a catalyst for more healing!!

Cheers!

I encourage anxiety prone UCPPS people to consider L-Theanine
Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.

Age:33 | Onset Age:19 | Symptoms:burning urethra, deep sore stinging around the perineum, dribbling | Helped By:when flare starts deep relaxing over a toilet to let out dribbling urine, hot bath, rubbing a heat cream on the perineum, Tens with a pad on the perineum, running, medication (solpadol) for pain. Current treatment: PT. | Worsened By:sitting, stressing over it, ejaculation, sometimes alcohol but I risk it. Been feeling a lot better last 6 months about 85% with a few flares lasting about 5 days. No longer having PT. Stretching every other night and I believe time is also a big factor for me

Weird new symptom

Post by garyholc »

Ok, not sure if this is related to chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome or not, and sorry to go on about this in detail, but its bugging me, and its something I haven't experienced before. The past week, when I go for a number 2, afterwards, I find the erm, exit hole, I get a really weird sensation from it, it feels like air bubbles to some extent, also feels like something is leaking out but it isn't. I haven't felt this before, and its quite unnerving at times because it does feel like you are going to have an accident. Getting to sleep with this feeling is also quite difficult. I find that if I pull the cheeks apart and hold them for a few seconds the feeling goes for a little while, but considering all the muscles in this region are linked, I wondered if this may be a new symptom I am experiencing or if it is something else not linked to CPPS? Either way, its annoying the heck out of me and not very comfortable, if a little ticklish at times.....
