post relaxation pain question

Post by holms »

Hello guys.
I have a question regarding relaxation. when I do continuous paradoxical relaxation , I some times manage to eliminate pain. but as long as relaxation session ends, my pain comes back next second, same thing when I wake up in the morning, when I am sleeping nothing hurts, but pain comes back next second when I wake up and last all day long.
any advice???

Paradoxical Relaxation

Dr. Wise told me that this is a skill that is learned. He told me to give it a year to cultivate. As you get better at paradoxical relaxation, expect the periods without pain to last longer.

This will also get better as your physical therapies start to work (internal, external, stretching). It's a good sign though - at least you are motivated to figure out how to keep your muscles relaxed! Many people don't have that kind of immediate feedback.
This is NOT medical advice. I am NOT a doctor.

Age: 43 CPPS: 10+ Yrs Recovery Status: 80-85% Symptoms: Pain in testicles, scrotum, rectum, prostate, perineum Makes Worse: Anxiety, Tension, too much Nookie Makes Better: Stretching, Abdominal Massage (Go Theracane!), Relaxation
