As of now I'm have only used valium in small amounts, fish flax and fish oil, probiotics, IntestiMax, colostrum-no drinking "only bottled water". Tried red wine seemed to have no effect go or bad "other then a hangover" since I'm not use to drinking. Flomax seemed to do nothing-before the ...

There also seems to be a connection between prostatitis and sinusitis as an autoimmune problem triggered by varies events. While the event is over and biology wise your body returns too normal over time-it's suggested that the problem or problems associated with the event still persist ...

Sinusitis is very common in men with chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome (it's also common in the general population too, but seems even more common in our group). We know that men with chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome and/or IC (and women with IC) have a much ...

Thank you for the information. I mentioned to Dr Bahn that the left side felt worse then the right, which showed little or no build up. I was actually doing well until a URO caused a flair up. One interesting note is after the flair up my sinus problem worsened. I believe there's a ...

Re: My 1st Visit with Doctor Bahn

I did the ultrasound that showed a long history of an infection.

Mike, what does this mean? Ultrasound cannot visualise infection, as far as I know.

Dr Bahn was referring to the amount of calcification I have on my right lobe. He stated it is formed as a result of an infection-It's hard to ...

Hope it goes well. Some people here have reported success with injections so fingers crossed. More importantly it's not going to cost you $20K and Bahn has actually published his results which are quite encouraging.

Thank you Sleeper for your support.

Actually Dr Bahn never did charge me for the ...

My 1st Visit with Doctor Bahn

I started this thread on the prostatitis--dot--org web site. I thought it might be of interest here. I know that site has become an advertisement tool for overseas exploration. But thought some here may find interest in it.

Just a quick update on my first visit. I found everyone there very ...

I wasn't down in AZ-But tried the prostate massage thing that helps some people "if done by the right person". All it did was cause a flair-up for me. I find that hots baths and relaxing walks help the most-I tried the prostate massage once and learned my lesson the hard way.

It's very ...

Had the same experience with one our professionals 12 days ago. I was doing ok until his over aggressive massage-It was the worst the first week. I use to be able to sit longer without discomfort until I meet this professional. He had a temper on him; as well I should of left when I saw him ...

Re: IC or CPPS

I went to this doctor during the 3d week of getting the problem. I went back yesterday and asked him how he diagnosed me-he handed me a questionnaire that I filled out "you add up the numbers from it" It was from a drug company. I was shocked. I looked at it again "armed with reading glasses this ...

Earlier I posted a URO proclaimed I had IC-I went to that guy today and asked him how come he gave me the diagnosis IC-He said because I have burning urine-well I said it went away. So after some discussion-I said what is bothering me right now? He did a DRE as if he was trying to cause me pain-Then ...

The IC one's a funny one as it's usually diagnosed by hydrodistension or potassium sensitivity if a test is used at all. A lot of modern Uros tend to use a diagnosis of exclusion these days though.

That said, it's an usual observation given the lack of testing although, in fairness, it doesn't ...

This URO never did a cystoscopy or any other test. I was lying on a table while he did a DRE and that is when he said, "Gee look at all the bumps". I later talked with another URO in SF that is very easy going and a nice guy, which also had chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain ...

Re: IC or CPPS

I have never had any pain either at least in the bladder area. Mine has always been in the prostrate region.

I don't have any more urination frequency now than I did before the event. I did for a period of time the first month associated with a lot of burning and dripping.

I've never had any ...

Re: Post ejaculation pain

I ejaculated yesterday after a long hold off due to the fear of increased pain.

The ejaculation itself wasn't to horrifying-I experienced some minor anal pain as well as the tip of my penis that lasted for and hour or so. I also urinated 15 minutes or so later.

But 5 hours after the event I ...
