Bad breath!

Post by Paso »

Hey,

Recently been feeling good in the CP/IC department. However I realize I have gotten bad breath for the first time in my life. My fiance and others have commented on it. Any ideas?

List your medications.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Atarax dries the mouth, like many medications, and has been implicated in causing bad breath. See: http://www.therabreath.com/art_medication.asp

The only way round it is to keep a bottle of Evian constantly handy and take little sips often as you can.

The anticholinergics such as DETROL and DITROPAN also dry out the mouth as do the tricyclic antidepressants. I also have had this problem. There is a special toothpaste that is pretty cheap that replaces some of the missing salivary enzyme and is meant for people with dry mouth and consequently less than ideal breath.

Paso do you take any anti inflams like advil or ibeprofen . I find after awile of taking these I get bad breath , so I take an acid reducer and that clears everything up .

Had a small set back after doing all the wrong stuff for a healthy prostate . But the good news is it is not too bad , and I know it will get better again . Thanks for asking . I read one of your posts and I see you are trying for kids . I hope it works out . I was lucky I had four kids before this thing hit me . Keep up the fight and good luck with stanford .
