Are Prostate MRI findings useful, or are they not related to symptoms?
I have a Prostate MRI done a while back and it found signs of inflammation and prostatitis, but my urologist don't have a good way to target this. I was wondering if the findings could be related to symptoms such as urgency and frequency? Or are the findings just irrelevant? Because in that case I'm not sure why my urologist got me to do it if they don't have a good way of targeting what was found.

Imaging is not very useful in UCPPS. But it can function to rule things out, so it covers the urologist and protects him from lawsuits in case something else is going on that he hasn't spotted. Anyway, now you know there is inflammation and that's something your surgeon (urologist) is not best suited to treat.

How is it treated? PT hasn't been very useful with the symptoms, I just have urgency and frequency.
Also the main thing is that I'm not sure if the findings are even related to the symptoms, is there a way to find out?
