Hello!
I've got lots of symptoms for months starting June 2021 but it's been 4 months I'm now living much better (98% good, mostly no symptoms). I can cum everyday without pain etc.
Right now I run 20 minutes 3 times per week but I'd like to practice more sport. What are the ones you recommend to muscle the body?
My physical therapist recommended me to not focus on a specific zone (abs for instance) otherwise it will tense the lower part and then stimulate the penis.
I'd love to have more abs, pecs and arms but not sure which sports I can practice safely. I think of tennis or martial arts to strengthen the whole body.
Thank you!

Swimming is a good general sport, but keep away from heavily chlorinated indoor pools. You can also do bodybuilding, but avoid squats and use lighter weights generally, with high reps. It will not build bulk, but will keep your muscle tone up. Tennis and martial arts are also very good.
Your desire to do more and more exercise could be a warning sign of the OCD-type symptoms that many UCPPS patients experience. Just keep that in mind. "Moderation in all things" is a good guideline. Running 3x a week is pretty good already.

Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

My PT said heavy lifting and squats with good form is fine?
Admin comment: we have many reports that it makes things worse. It directly strains the same muscles that are prone to trigger points.

Thank you webslave! Unfortunately I have a pierced eardrum so I'm too afraid to swim and get water in the ear haha.
You're totally right, moderation is the most important. Thank you again :D

Definitely squats are dangerous. Swimming and hiking is the best, great combination of muscular activity and relax. I would avoid running, but e.g.tennis was ok (when I was asymptomatic, it never launched a flare-up for me).

I was Ok with squats and deadlifts when asymptomatic, and weightlifting seems to help me when I'm over the worst of it and improving. That said, I wouldn't do them if I was flaring.
Age 56: Onset 2006 and bouts on and off since then. See posts for details.
