Not doing great!
First of all good morning
I have come here to share and hopefully get some advice.
I had what I guess was CPPS about 13 months or so ago and learnt a lot from the reddit forum. It started out of the blue in a tense sexual encounter wherein I couldn't get hard and ejac without being fully hard.
I was sore immediately after and many tests later after weeks and a precautionary dose of drugs to eliminate common STDs and STI I still had pain. Off to a specialist Physio for PF and got me doing stretches and kegels (normal). Fast forward 5 months I was cured all good and no problems. Moved on with life haply for a few months
Then I wanted to improve my EQ so I used a penis pump called bathmate and used it wrong. I pumped too hard for too long and my penis head was caught on the left side so it was cues in the pump. No sign of injury initially but the next day pain was there on the left side of shaft, left tip and in around the middle top of head. It's been 4 months and I still have pain. I can only get erect with Viagra and whilst taking it for blood to speed up injury I felt better. I also went back to stretching but not as committed like the first time. Now I'm off Viagra I'm back to pain and where I was and I can't get hard with my gf and the penis feels cold but when touched feels normal if that makes sense. Pulling slightly on the tip causes pain and masturbating is hard and sore to do. I'm worried that this is not a PF matter but a penis injury.
I have sought help from experienced penis exercise gurus on reddit who tell me that A) bathmate is dangerous and injuries are common with them and b) that in should heal in time but the going rate is 2 months. I also have had an ultrasound 2 weeks after the pumping incident that revealed nothing.
I'm now at month 4 and an expert has advised that it could be a trapped or pinched nerve at this point.
Urologist won't see me and said go back to PF physio which I have and has said that she thinks its PF related but I'm not so sure.
Looking to see if I'm in serious trouble here about trapped nerves or pinched nerves, if this sounds PF related, can it be permanent problem and what to do from here.

Re: Not doing great!
Well if there was a nerve injury, you must accept that nerves are slow to heal. And if you keep bothering the healing nerves through pulling at the penis, too much sex, etc. and even thinking about it all the time and concentrating on it, it will serve to exacerbate the problem or maintain the discomfort. The brain is able to perpetuate pain in areas you think about constantly.
I would unfocus from the penis, stop using it as much. Don't pull it and touch it to 'test' if it's getting better, and allow the fragile, slow-growing nerves time to heal.
Then in about 4 months, gradually start using it again and see how it goes.
And use PEA (palmitoylethanolamide) to help with the neurological discomfort.

Thanks for the reply,
Could this still be pelvic floor related?
If nerve related, can i make a full recovery if its trapped or pinched

Re: Not doing great!
Yes, it could all be pelvic floor related. If a pinched nerve (as I had in my back), yes, it can completely go away with time.
But if you treat for pelvic floor, be aware that kegels are the wrong solution.

Re: Not doing great!
My PF Physio that gets paid lots of money per visit has me on a plan that is kegels (stop the urine) I asked her if this was correct and she said yes. Funnily the first time I fixed it she got me to do the same. X3 sets of 10, 10 sec holds plus x3 sets of 10 rapid 1 sec pulses

Kegels make hypertonic pelvic floor symptoms worse. That's a well known fact.

So when I see her next I tell her she's wrong?
If it was nerve related, would that mean I wouldn't get hard with Viagra and still get pain?
When on the V all problems start to disappear

Re: Not doing great!
Just saw PF physio who basically said the pains all in my head and no physical injury is still current. It was very hard to hear today that I have CPPS. I originally beat the bout the first time which made me think I cured it for good.
I'm angry, upset and feel like I've taken a huge punch in the guts
It's hard to accept and move forward right now. Will my life always have CPPS to deal with from time to time, she thought so.
I just want to be normal again, pain free without the need to manage it.
Today sucks, really bad.

Re: Not doing great!
No, it does not suck, it just means that you have a pain syndrome that can be controlled. I had it so bad that I was hardly able to walk with the pain, and now I never think about it. So you won't always have to deal with it, and the smarter you get about it, the better your chances of beating it forever.

Re: Not doing great!
My PF therapist said it can't be beaten but managed? That I'll need to do perhaps daily stretching and meditation. I'm kind of hoping she's wrong and that I in fact injured my penis with the pump rather than this CPPS.
I'm devastated by the news that I have life long condition on me. There's worse out there and I'm being selfish but yes that's how I feel right now webslave
I have my next followup in 3 weeks

Re: Not doing great!
The very fact that you were using a penis pump points to an obsessive personality. Obsessive personalities find it more difficult to recover from UCPPS because of the rumination and catastrophizing. I tell you this because it may help you to gain insight into the roots of your condition.

Re: Not doing great!
Possibly I'm just trying to get a bit of information on whether i can finally beat this and keep it away without maintenance or is it prone to come back again and again without things like PT, stretching etc
Therefore my lifestyle won’t be how it was before
