How to get rid of central sensitization?

Post by carcaju »

I know it’s a complicated question but there has to be hints of answers to follow.

Time? Relaxation? Méditation? « Not giving a fuck »? Thinking about other stuff? Accepting the pain without fear? Alan Gordon´s TMS program? Medication?

Thanks...

That's the big question, the key to overcoming CPPS. You must do everything you can to overcome the noxious feedback loop. Calm the nerves, calm the brain. Stop the stimuli from the pelvis. Stop the brain focusing on the pelvis. Interrupt the self-reinforcing mechanism that winds up the pain response. Let the grass grow over the pathway the pain has created.

So from the pelvis side, do anything to cancel the spasms, pain, and cytokine activity. That involves physical therapy, stretches, phytopharmaceuticals like quercetin (e.g. Quercetin), pain medication etc

From the CNS side: relaxation (many strategies, some of which you have mentioned), anxiolytics, stress avoidance, several medications.

That's what these forums are all about!
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
