Diverticulitis and CPPS

In China 1.5 years ago I developed diverticulitis and was hospitalized for one week on antibiotics and fluids. I have had burning urethral symptoms, prostatitis, and CPPS since. No one has recommended surgery for diverticulitis, and no one can make the definitive statement that my urethral pain is due to the diverticulitis. I had Urolift surgery one year ago. Worst pain I’ve ever had in my life. Initially could pee better, but now, back to pre surgery levels. I have been in physical therapy with modest improvement. Has anyone been diagnosed with diverticulitis and then had this type of continuous pain? Thanks for your opinions.

I was diagnosed with diverticulitis a few years before CPPS reared it's head. I can't really link them together other then that I have both. I haven't had a diverticulitis flare up in like 2 years where as CPPS started 6-7 months ago.

Hi Redub
Since the sigmoid colon is in very close proximity to the bladder and prostate, the literature suggests that diverticulitis symptoms can include urinary and prostate issues. I’m in the process of being evaluated for this as soon as all of the virus issues taper off. Thanks for your response
