7 Months in, looking for advice

Post by Yankees44 »

Recently joined the forum and looking for advice and wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience. A friend had jokingly sent me a fleshlight (fake vagina) in the mail. It came with a little packet of lubricant that in retrospect was probably not the best idea to use because it looked like it came from China and some spelling was off. Next day I woke up with burning urethra and frequency. I have been in a relationship for 5 years and don’t believe there is any chance it’s STD related. All my cultures came back negative tried MicroGen DX and doctors said nothing that showed up was more then normal non pathogen bacteria. I tried multiple rounds of Antibiotics after a DRE urologist said prostate felt inflamed. The antibiotics did not work. I have been on Elavil for 5 months gradually increasing dose to now 75mg and it’s not helping. I currently have burning pain in my urethra almost non stop and it’s worse when sitting. Additionally always have the feeling of needing to pee. I have tried acupuncture but that did not seem to help as well. I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with either a chemical reaction to lubricant or from the material or tightness of using a fake vagina. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's quite likely that something in the Chinese lube irritated your urethra. For instance, even ordinary glycerin, present in many commercial lubes, can burn the urethra in sensitive people. Lubes sometimes also contain chlorhexidine (antiseptic), parabens, or alcohol, all of which can cause irritation and burning. There are special lubes that will not burn you, for example "Sliquid".

Once the urethra is inflamed, the pain can take on a life of its own, and you can develop a pain syndrome. Now it's nerves and brain maintaining the discomfort, even if the inflammation has gone.

Your case is very interesting because it shows how many diverse pathways there are into CPPS.

You will get better, but you'll have to become knowledgeable about the condition. Lots of reading at this site will be the key.

Thank you for the response. I was considering trying PT as well in the theory that having all this stress/anxiety is causing me to tense up and the original irritation may be done but now my pelvic floor is messed up causing nerve irritation.
If there are any other posts in this forum on point let me know.
I initially feared I permanently damaged my skin which seems unlikely but honestly just not sure.
I had a cystoscopy and the urologist said it all looked fine.

PT is a good idea. It's very unlikely that there is actual physical damage to you; the damage now is neurological and biochemical and can be reversed.

I also used lube ... Never thought about it that way but in my case I started to feel my symptoms 2 weeks after..
However similar symptoms constant burning in urethra / tip of the penis. Sitting down makes everything worse.
