Anyone elses symptoms start from over holding in ejaculation or edging?
Mine started I believe from trying to basically go a very long time in bed... like over an hour. Really getting very close to ejaculation and then abruptly stopping over and over (kinda like really overdoing it this time). Right after this session I went to the bathroom and had a hard time peeing and my symptoms have been the same since that day.
I still really don't get what actually happened physically this day. Did I like over expand my prostate? I pulled a muscle. I went from not having an issue to having basically prostatitis like symptoms literally at that very moment when I was over stressing the prostate.

Edging or overholding ejaculation
Age: 25 | Onset Age: 21 | Symptoms: Pain in perineum area, bad ED, slower stream, loss of libido, | Helped By: Uroxatral, Heavy Doses of NSAIDs, Really Hot Baths/Sauna | Worsened By: Sex, Masturbation, Spicy Foods, biking, certain exercises, sudafed| Other comments: Mine started in a time after copious amounts of sex, I also held in ejaculation for a long long time after a sex break which may have contributed. Also went from protected to unprotected sex around this same time, but all tests show no bacteria. I do not have urgency issues.

Re: Edging or overholding ejaculation
This has been mentioned several times over the years. Edging and Tantric sex practices (edging + grasping the penis tightly to prevent ejaculation) can set you up for problems. The practices stress the regional nerves and muscles and in predisposed men can be the last straw.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Re: Edging or overholding ejaculation
For me I didn't grasp tightly to physically stop ejaculation. It was more just start and stop with my gf at the time for an hour and 30 mins or so. Really getting to the absolute brink of ejaculating and stopping over and over again. It felt like at some point something expanded in the prostate region. Sort of lost the build up feeling. Right after the whole sexual episode I went to pee and it was like my flow was restricted, which never happened before. And then the whole saga has went on for the last 6 to 7 years.

Re: Edging or overholding ejaculation
Both edging and Tantric sex (especially stopping ejaculation by grasping the penis) open the possibility of "micro-tears" in the genital epithelia and the exposure of the immune system to the sperm, which may cause an automimmune reaction thereafter.
Sperm antigens can escape their immunologic sanctuary in cases of mechanical obstruction due to vasectomy, trauma, surgery, or congenital anomalies. For example, up to 70% of vasectomized men and over 50% of men with vas deferens obstruction following childhood inguinal herniorrhaphy have sera positive for antisperm antibodies (ASAb). Similarly, 71% of men with cystic fibrosis and associated congenital bilateral absence of the vas deferens have ASAb bound to motile sperm. In addition, inflammation from past or current infections of the genital tract may lead to ASAb formation. Orchitis, epididymitis, vasitis deferentitis, and prostatitis can cause tissue disruption with extravasation of sperm [admin comment: edging? Tantric sex?]. In this case, particles derived from microbiologic agents may adhere to sperm and further enhance the immune response by acting as haptens.
