Pelvic pain and Parkinson's?

Post by webslave »

Tentative link uncovered to Parkinson's Disease (PD), perhaps.

People with early clinical PD and prodromal PD had:
... a higher prevalence of cervicalgia (neck pain), shoulder pain, pelvic pain, pain in the thigh joint, backache, and low back pain compared to controls [and] also had more frequent frozen shoulder — characterized by stiffness and pain in the shoulder joint — restless legs syndrome (discomfort in the legs and an irresistible urge to move them), and nocturnal leg cramps. “This is an indirect evidence that pain can be an important early clinical marker of [Parkinson’s],” the authors wrote.

I'm a poster boy for this, with a history of CPPS (pelvic pain), frozen shoulder in both shoulders, restless leg syndrome, painful shoulder muscles, and trigger points in neck and shoulders. I'll be sure to report back if I get PD!
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Same here! Was checked for Parkinsons early on and I developed RSL which has since calmed down.
Age: 52 | Onset Age:49 (but I may have had warning signs 25 yrs earlier)| Symptoms: Pretty much all the usual suspects. Frequency, urgency, inability to always empty, burning and numbing uretheral, penile & perineum pain. Frequent urination at night.| Helped By: Internal PT. Myrbetriq helps but is by no means great. TENS to help sleep, and hand held massages of the lower back, hips and buttocks. Standing and physical labor help. Stretches and hot baths. Occasionally use gel iced pad on the perineum. Worsened By: Sitting (being sedentary), driving, sex, bowel movements, tight clothing and underwear. | Other comments: Currently trying L-Theanine
