Robotic Prostatectomy

Has anyone had a robotic prostatectomy to treat long term chronic debilitating prostatitis?

I spoke to several people recently who have had robotic prostatectomies done by 1 of the few top robotic surgeons in the country at Memorial Sloan Kettering for prostate cancer. They did not have prostatitis.

In both cases, they experienced no side effects at all from the surgery. There was no impotence nor any incontinence at any point after the surgery.
Within a month of the surgery they were both fully back to normal.

I understand from other forums that these results are not the norm other than among a small handful of top highly experienced surgeons in the country. This particular Dr. has done thousands and does over 200/year.

I don't have any hard statistics to show how many people do as well as these 2, but it does sound encouraging.

My main curiosity though is to see if anyone with chronic prostatitis has gotten relief from surgery performed by one of the highly skilled robotic surgeons.

I may not be the most knowledgeable person to answer this, but I believe it's difficult to find a Urologist to do this for Prostatitis. I know they claim robotic surgery has improved outcomes from Prostatectomies. I know a couple of people that have had them due to Prostate Cancer from chemical exposure at work. They claim their prognosis post surgery is going well, other than expected sexual dysfunction. I'm sure some guys would rather be pain free even if it means sexual dysfunction. IMHO - men lie about how they feel and may not want to discuss the true side effects that they are experiencing, so it makes me wonder if they are truly happy after the procedure. I have read how some men have had their prostates removed and it did nothing to fix their pelvic pain. Even though robotic surgery may increase the chances of a better outcome, I would think that the risks may still outweigh the benefits at this time. But that is just my opinion.

I am very interested by the answers to your question.
I've suffered since 2011 and my condition has became worse over the last years.
I feel chronic fatigue and flu-like symptoms.

So I am considering laparoscopic removal as my last hope because Nothing has helped me till now.

Can somebody speaks me about the Krongrad Institute ?
From what I know, it was the first using mini invasive surgery as a "treatment" for severe chronic prostatitis.
Do they continue to do it nowadays ?
