My three prostate procedures

Post by gpaschen »

I've had chronic prostatitis since my early thirties I'm now 69, about 15 years ago had a PVP (photoselective vaporization of the prostate with laser); it didn't work, still had peeing problems also was tested for low testosterone and received injections from the MD, the injections helped right away but the half life of the drug wasn't long. About 3 years later had a TherMatrx treatment, everything worked well no urgency, no retrograde everything was good, till about a year ago. My urologist retired after a stroke and I had to look around. Started my own test injections using an anti-aging clinic. Had another PVP last summer worked ok other than retrograde ejaculation, but now something grew back and have to use a catheter quite often. The same Dr wants to do a turp, but I don't know. I'm trying what all the books say, no alcohol, no hot foods, and no sex, pretty much no fun. I'm at a loss, I have severe pain all night, getup bout every 90 min, life sucks plus I am a newlywed and I worry about making my 58 yr old wife happy. I was diagnosed with seminal vesiculitis which was caught on a PET scan too.

PVP and TherMatrx (TUMT) are treatments for BHP, not CPPS. You seem to be having more problems with BHP symptoms than CPPS symptoms. I suggest getting the BHP treated first, and a TURP does not sound unreasonable.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
