Is anyone else just so ridiculously put off by how pathetic the research efforts are for this condition?
I scour the internet looking for answers and possible studies happening and can't seem to find anything of use. Meanwhile you watch the news and hear about all this effort going into transgender services and people questioning their gender. How are dudes getting their dicks turned into functional vaginas but we can't figure out what's going on with pelvic muscles and prostates? The reality of what's going on now a days seems like such a joke.
Maybe someone can send Trump a message on twitter for some CPPS funds....

Frustrations
Age: 25 | Onset Age: 21 | Symptoms: Pain in perineum area, bad ED, slower stream, loss of libido, | Helped By: Uroxatral, Heavy Doses of NSAIDs, Really Hot Baths/Sauna | Worsened By: Sex, Masturbation, Spicy Foods, biking, certain exercises, sudafed| Other comments: Mine started in a time after copious amounts of sex, I also held in ejaculation for a long long time after a sex break which may have contributed. Also went from protected to unprotected sex around this same time, but all tests show no bacteria. I do not have urgency issues.

Re: Frustrations
I am afraid that it will never change...partly because of the fact that the syndromes are highly idiosyncratic (everybody of us has its own collection of syndromes, some are overlapping with others some are completely unique and unexplainable..)ˇ. What makes sense is better individual diagnostic, if every PT was on the level of Tim Sawyer, the results would be much better. Sometimes the underlying reason are 2-3 triggerpoints in remote spots which are difficult to treat. And of course, the subsequent superstructure of anxiety, neural inflammation, depression, bad life style...etc etc. How many times I got the feeling that my PT had excellently treated some minor, lets say "role-playing" trigger points but missed the main one, "the mother of all trigger points" somewhere in high adductor area or distal pubococcygeus area...
