My story so far

Post by youngert »

Hi, I've been suffering from this condition for the last year or so.

Started with a week of pain while peeing and while ejaculating and also irritated tip of penis. The pain went away after several days of antibiotics but came back 2 weeks later after ejaculating. This cycle happened 3 more times. The last time it came back didn't go away with antibiotics and stayed until now.

The most terrible thing in my condition is the irritation and pain at the tip of my penis, it is depressing and makes my life a nightmare, more mentally than physically because I'm pretty tough and can take the pain, but because I feel like I can't be the able and dynamic man I used to be. And I can't have sex with my wife which is very emasculating. I use a basic cream anesthetic on the tip of my penis which makes life bearable but that's not enough. The saddest thing is that in the morning when I wake up I don't have any pain, but then it starts up. What's with that???.

Another thing I have is tenderness below my testicles which makes it difficult to sit for a long time, and I guess makes the tenderness at the tip of the penis to get worse as well. But I can live with that tenderness it's fine.

There is also burning feeling in my penis that fluctuates in correlation with how irritates the tip of the penis is.

I have to say all symptoms get worse for days after I ejaculate, which is difficult to handle from a mental standpoint. The thing you should enjoy so much becomes a source of so much pain.

I have been to so many urologist so far, paid so much money for the best experts but they say just either take more antibiotics or wait it out and it will just pass by itself.

Right now I'm seeing another urologist that finally seems to knows about the condition and is also humane. He did a rectal exam and said my prostate was inflamed. He said lets try a last attempt with a different type of antibiotics, try to keep the prostate area warm and ejaculate a lot ( will help take out infected liquid from the prostate), if that doesn't work we will try a nerve approach instead of trying to heal the condition and wants me to start taking amitriptyline for the pain (I am supposed to start next week as the first part of the treatment didn't really helped). The third stage if nothing helps is to take Cialis which he says might help.

I felt better at the beginning of the first stage ( placebo?) but after ejaculating one time (he gave me rectal Voltaren to use before sex or masturbation) I felt really bad for about 3-4 days and I fell to reality again.

I avoid coffee, spicy foods and alcohol. I stopped doing sports as its hard with the irritated tip of my penis (more rubbing on my underwear drive me nuts even with the cream I'm using)

It seems in my country (Israel) there is no information on this subject only antibiotics and pain killers, I couldn't find any other approach to the condition as I see in this forum.

I have twins on the way, and I'm dying to be the father I know I can be, dynamic and energetic and not this guy who suffers from chronic pain. Thank god I have my wife, I might have descended into depression if not for her love and support.

I need to be in a different place, that's my mission in life, I want to beat this condition, but I need help. I have always felt proud about my inner strength that kept me reaching my goals but I think I put a lot of stress on myself for many years.

I was always hard on myself and with a lot of stress for all my life. Very critical on myself. The year before this condition was very stressful, a lot of responsibility at work and at home (money) and we started fertility treatment because we're not successful in getting pregnant. I even had anxiety with my erection and took some Cialis for awhile (which helped but it also added to my general stress and feeling bad with myself). This caused backaches for the year before.

Any how, that's my story. Please guys, can you give me some tips, different approaches to try. I would basically do anything to make the condition more bearable. Any Guidelines will be very appreciated.

Thank! And good luck for anyone else suffering from this awful condition!!

Welcome to the forum, and please fill in your signature. The good news is that you have a standard case of CPPS and improvement is assured.
irritation and pain at the tip of my penis
Usually stems from trigger points in the front part of the levator ani (pelvic hammock muscles). Can also have an element of prostate or urethral inflammation associated with nerves.
in the morning when I wake up I don't have any pain, but then it startup. What's with that?
In the morning your pelvic muscles and nerves are rested, nerve activity is low, symptoms subside.
paid so much money for the best experts but they say just either take more antibiotics
Keep away from the "experts". They are not really experts, especially when it comes to CPPS.
all symptoms get worse for days after I ejaculate
Classic sign of CPPS. You should take it as a reassuring sign that you only have CPPS and nothing else, no cancer, no infection, nothing.
He said lets try a last attempt with a different type of antibiotics
Waste of time, won't help, don't do it. The amitriptyline could help, as could Cialis .. but neither are magic bullets.
The year before this condition was very stressful
Bingo! For many men, the onset follows stressful events or a stressful period.

Almost all the messages on these forums will be helpful for you, but bottom line is you will get better, I'm sure of that. :)
