...that shows perineal massage with a softer inflatable ball and I bought one, sat on it, and I felt a shock down my urethra and over the week things have been declining. I grew to have a full feeling in my perineum that's uncomfortable to sit on, feeling mild urgency (had none before), my ED has gone from ~50% impaired to 100% impaired and most worrying thing is today I got a 10% erection (which took forever) and that caused an electric shock seemingly starting from the front of my anus down my urethra and now it is persisting even after. Yesterday I was able to get an erection and ejaculate but felt the electric shocks and then they stopped, so it seems to be getting worse.
I feel so stupid for trying this, my symptoms were holding pretty mild other than the ED and I'm worried this ball may have injured some nerves running along my urethra or the junction where the urethra passes through the pelvic floor sphincter? No blood came out of my urethra but I am worried I may have done something bad around it.
Also, after reviewing the anatomy of the area I don't think this is a very safe technique at all. Most guides say to put the ball in the perineum which is in front of the anus implying that the strip in between the anus and balls is 'safe'. But if you look at this diagram the delicate urethra runs surprisingly far back towards the anus. The left arrow shows my area of concern, it seems like you are putting a lot of pressure on a very delicate junction and men with prostatitis may already have impaired urethral tissues. There are warnings against pushing against the prostate too hard because it can tear the urethra on the top side of the sphincter, so couldn't this cause the same thing on the outside of the junction? Paradoxically it seems like a wider softer ball is actually more dangerous in this situation.
