Just a quick question: At least a year and half ago maybe longer, back after this pelvic pain condition started, I started having off-white, or slightly yellowish semen which I guess comes from the inflammation. It used to be intermittent at the beginning, but now it's slightly off white all the time. Before this condition started two years ago, it was perfectly white.
I don't think it's bilirubin. It's definitely NOT from any infection (I already know this), and it actually doesn't have any odor to it at all. The cloudy part (which I think is the nutrients from the prostate) is still white. But it seems the clearer fluid which that is in is tinted. Also, it gets a little more heavily tinted at the last part to come out, which I assume is the portion that is deepest in the system which would be from around the testicular area.
I would just like to get it to be white again. It's not super bad, just not white. Doesn't bother me too much anymore, I'm not super worried about. However, if anyone out there has had it be tinted for a long while, and then go back to white, please let me know. I'm just curious if it can go back to white.
I've had a PSA test back in the summer which came out really good. I have not been with anyone in 2 years. Nothing in my diet has really changed that much. I was gluten free for 4. 5 months, and it didn't change. Actually, it seemed to start soon after the doctors put me on a 3-week course of needless, strong antibiotic two years ago.
Overall, I'm just glad things still work, and glad it's not something worse. Still, might be nice to someday have it be white again.

Re: Off-white semen 2nd half of this condition.
Causes of yellowish semen:
- Age - as men get older, they notice that the color of their semen is not as whitish as it used to be. Instead, there is a light yellowish tinge to it which happens gradually
- Diet - high sulfur foods like garlic, onions, legumes, grains, nuts, cabbages, broccoli, and asparagus
- Multivitamins - especially B vits
- Abstinence - if you haven’t ejaculated for a long time, your first ejaculation after this period of abstinence may also lead to discharge of old semen which may be yellowish in color. When you don’t ejaculate for a long time, the semen tends to accumulate in the seminal vesicles and makes it thick. This old semen when discharged may be lumpy as well as of a different color than the normal whitish shade.
- Urine - a few drops of urine may end up as part of the ejaculate, changing its color to a slightly yellowish tinge
- Infection - yellow, green or gold may denote prostate infection, in which case the semen tends to also emit a strong foul odor.
