Hello All,
I have been a CPPS sufferer for 14 years, the first eight years living in denial and then ending up in the Wise Anderson Clinic in 2011. My issues are related to ED/libido only, which has taken a significant toll on the quality of life. I do not have urinary symptoms except for some mild discomfort at the tip of penis and suprapubic discomfort while urinating. It is only until recently (June 2016) that I actually got a more proper sense of how to do the protocol correctly - and both aspects the relaxation and PT are tough to get for a newbie.
I had a couple of questions related to PT:
1. I have been using the Theracane for internal work and I have found it to be more convenient to use. I found the anterior levator ani for the first time very recently after several attempts for several years. My issue issue is that I often can't "grab" onto the trigger point. It kind of "slips", like running over the button on a remote instead of pressing on the button. Also when I do manage to press on it, it is extremely uncomfortable and I don't find the trigger is points relax upon pressing for about 40-45 seconds. Can anyone comment what I may be doing wrong and how I can prevent the slipping?
2. As stated above I use the Theracane for internal release, the reason being is is much more convenient to use since it is a single piece. I am concerned with using the wand without the glove since I feel the ball at the end of the WA wand may get lost or come off. The only issue with the Theracane is that the diameter is thicker so that makes insertion slightly more uncomfortable the if I were using the Wand. Has anyone used the wand internally without the glove and recommend another narrower device?
I appreciate any comments.

Re: PT questions
Trigger points are slippery, like rubber balls of muscle fibre that try to pop out from under any pressure applied. Getting them to stay still is a challenge. Once you have one under pressure, maintain the pressure for 90 seconds. Often you can only feel the trigger point starting to "give way" after about a minute of pressing. Don't overtreat or press too hard.

Re: PT questions
Thanks that helps. I'll try that.
Any thoughts on the wand vs Theracane question?
Also another questions, to get to the levator ani, it seems like I have to go in a bit deep, above the prostate, then to gently get the Theracane out and then apply pressure. Only then I can get to the levator ani (I know since I can reproduce tip of penis pain). In other words its a combination of prostate massage (gently pulling the prostate) and the applying pressure to the muscle underneath. Is that how it works? Without this I am not able to reproduce tip of penis pain.

Re: PT questions
Leva. ani insertions are behind prostate, so yes, that sounds like the right manoeuvre.
The Theracane should not cause discomfort unless you have a very tight anal sphincter. Try putting a heating pad or hot water bottle on the anal area before insertion, to relax the muscle. Warm the tip of the Theracane as well.

Re: PT questions
Hi Webslave,
Thanks for your response. May I please ask a couple more questions.
1. I really want to use the wand internally potentially without the glove. Is there any issue with using the wand in this manner. I am a bit concerned about losing the nitrile ball at the tip.
The reason is once in while I get pain that pretty bad in rectum that hurts bad for a few minutes (despite using a good water based glycerine paraben free lube - astroglide) while inserting the Theracane and sometimes minor bleeding due to fissures/hemorrhoids. At this point I stop. A tool that is thinner than the Theracane would make it easier. I really using a thinner, more comfortable tool will make my internal PT sessions more frequent. Right now I usually do TP release before an evening shower
2. I found a point on the left side which referred pain to around the groin/pubic bone region on the right site. Not sure if that is the obturator that refers to the opposite site. It is at about 10-11 o clock pushing forwards with the Theracane.
Thanks, I really appreciate your advice.

Re: PT questions
I haven't actually held a Wise-Anderson Protocol wand in my hands, so I don't know how securely the tip is attached. I presume it screws on? If so, I wouldn't worry about it coming off. If not, I would.

Re: PT questions
Kreator I'm also a ED main symptom person. Has pushing on trigger points or wise anderson had any results for your ED? Has your ED been constant for the whole 14 years? Have you had anything that might cause a side to side pelvic imbalance like a sprained ankle?
