I did attend the Wise protocol camp in California about 8 years ago. The trigger points work was huge to learn. The relaxation stuff wouldn't work on me I was way too WOUND tight.
But today my symptoms are just about gone, I can literally tell when I'm stressed how it effects the tightness in my pelvic floor. For years I was so WOUND UP that I told people I didn't have stresses or anxieties, reason being, its because it was a constant state for me so I never felt the RAISE in my flight or fight hormones. I've had adrenal tests and sure as shit my braking system hormones were just about zero and my "gas" (flight or fight) hormones were pegged almost on 10. Its just how I'm wired, it was explained that my braking system is that of a 30mph yugo with an engine of a Ferrari. Not a good combo for calming down. I had my DNA tested and read too and it came back as showing someone who is high strung, no shit lol.
But I've beaten this shit. I achieved my dreams of becoming a pro bodybuilder, I now coach about 100 athletes on the daily (http://www.scoobyprep.com) and I still practice law in house. I saw the birth of two children, one is 11 and one is 2 yrs and 7 mos. And my wife and I are still happily married. Live on 5 acres, secluded, 5,500 sq ft ranch, just put in a pool. I kid and say its my relaxation compound.
What has worked THE BEST:
- Getting medicated. I now take 20mg Lexapro and this has been a HUGE help and really was the final piece for ME.
- I know where my trigger points are (mainly in my tailbone area) so if I get tight I can do internal work pretty damn easily and GENTLY, always start very very gently don't just go full force off the bat).
- Use of phenibut which I was a proponent over years ago when my doc took me off the Ativan. I use 3 caps in the morning and then take 4 after my lifting. If you try this get PHENITROPIC at Lucky Vitamins
- Trying to just quit focusing on it, harder said than done, but I'd recall when I'd get out of the house back in the day and get enthralled in a good conversation and maybe a beer and I'd lose track of time and low and behold my symptoms would stop and I could pee normally.
- Forgot one — I use a little marijuana nightly through a vaporizer, I get indicas, great for relaxation and pain relief.
If you are like me an anti anxiety drug may work wonders on you. I wish I had just started that YEARS ago, but I really didn't think I was an anxious person. Only when you calm yourself down are you really able to see the anxiety when it flares up.
Good luck to everyone and hope this helps some. The reason I came on today was too see if there were any new breakthroughs with CPPS.
