Hi all, I have a question. As part of my normal self-treatment, I use a Theracane on my perineum. I try to push quite hard on the perineal body and the transverse perineal muscles at the base of the bulbospongiosis. This usually helps tremendously.
My question is this. When I press hard on my perineum just above my anus, I feel like I'm hitting a bone. All the diagrams I've looked at don't show a bone there. Is this the bottom of the pelvic bone? Or is it connective ligaments? If not a bone, should I try to be breaking this structure down?

To make a definitive check, use the Visible Human project.

CppsDad, it really freaks me out you're not better by now, I've read your posts from years ago and thought for sure by now you would be living life again. Has it at least been off and on? Man my life really is over.

Re: Hard Spot In Perineum
No, I'm WAAAAY better than I was years ago. At this point in my life, the pain is mildly annoying, sometimes better, sometimes worse. I've been sticking at the 80% "healed" mark for a long time, and I could happily continue at the place I'm at. I am constantly doing self-treatment, or finding new ways to self-treat, hence where my question came from. But any time I stop doing treatment, I get mild symptoms back. I wish I could say that CPPS was all gone, but it's like having a bad back; it will always be there, and you always have to take care of it.dailysuffering wrote:CppsDad, it really freaks me out you're not better by now, I've read your posts from years ago and thought for sure by now you would be living life again. Re: Hard Spot In Perineum
Thanks webslave, as always. I couldn't find a way to view the data easily, so I just went through the images on this site, and it looks like the "hard" part is ligament tissue or something other than bone, as no bones seem visible in the perineum. As usual, I'll keep messing around, trying to injure myself in my never-ending quest to find "the" spot that cures me 100%.webslave wrote:To make a definitive check, use the Visible Human project.
