A strange general, hard to pinpoint ill feeling.

Post by MajorSky1 »

I wake up many days of the week feeling just crappy. The first 5 or 10 seconds of being awake I feel ok, but then what I believe is anxiety starts to swell up as my mind starts to race, and I swear it's looking for things to worry about. It's very frustrating.

I have a strange, hard to define, hard to pinpoint feeling somewhere in what feels like maybe deep inside my lower abdomen along my spine. It feels connected to nausea/malaise that comes and goes. In the past couple months, I occasionally become un-regular, which I NEVER had a problem with before all this started

The sensation(s) is just really weird because it seems like a combination of intermittent nausea, CPPS aches, constipation, general malaise, and strange discomforts in the abdomen and pelvis that mess with the sensory of my brain, and cognizance.

I would be a little comforted to know if anyone else gets anything like this, not because I want anyone to have it, but just so that I don't feel so screwed when it happens. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough to be really unsettling. It puts me in a paradigm where I feel trapped and stuck, and hopeless, and I can't see a future of getting back to doing the things I used to do. It's so weird. I'm sure some of it is anxiety and depression, but what is the physical sensation? How do I overcome that? Any advice?

Obviously, this is one of the mornings where it hit me. I forced myself to go for a walk, and just trying to keep functioning in hopes it will fade, which I guess it usually does. I hope someday soon, it never comes back.

Hi Major,

Had this the first few months, I couldn't even think properly. I found that it was related to the overall pain level. Once the pain was under 4/10 I was able to have a more positive look at the future and felt better all over.
Age: 44 | Onset Age: 43 | Symptoms remaining: Irritated left Pudendal nerve, stiff muscles throughout the Pelvis, 80% better then onset | Helped By: Pelvic PT and Myofascial release | Worsened By: things that stress the left PN like sitting| Other comments: 2 weeks Cipro after 2 months, tried Lyrica 150Mg, didn't help at that doses, tried the Randy Peterman cocktail no diff., Quercetin, Magnesium, Ceterizine, Amitriptyline 10mg, Baclofen Cream 5%, PEA; currently no meds. PSA 0.9, Cystoscopy OK, all kinds of blood test, all ok, HIP MRI, Lumbar/sacral MRI ok; Ultrasound, ok, injections with cortisone helped sitting

Majorsky, not sure if you are talking about Akathisia (unpleasant internal sensation of restlessness). I sometimes still get that.

I don't really feel restless, more like when you have the stomach flu and symptoms of the fever, but I don't have a fever, and I don't get nauseous enough to throw up. I think it's from the pain, which triggers anxiety. But sometimes it comes even when I don't have much pain, seems like. I don't know, but it's extremely annoying. Woke up this morning to a sick feeling in the stomach, and that does cause me to want to move around a little. It's awful. Maybe a hyper-irritable CNS kind of issue.

I did have a major problem with food intolerances that still affects me. This can lead to sore stomach and bowel issues. Have you tried an exclusion diet?
