Getting hypervigilant and combative about this condition actually makes it worse. Relaxation is the name of the game, but it's not as easy as it sounds! So far still struggling but will fight till DEATH if I have to.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Re: JUST JOINED. GOD's Warriors here
Hello and welcome, Kswizz. As I noticed this far, different treatments and approaches affect people differently.
"Urgency, Burning Urethra, penile burn" - I've got those symptoms for more than 8 years. Last year I started taking alfuzosin (which is an alpha-1 blocker specific in the area of the prostate, pelvic floor and bladder muscles which helps to relax them). It started to affect after 3 weeks for me, by relieving the urinary frequency/urgency (now I don't have any of these). As I continued to take it on a daily basis, after a few months I also felt a significant relief of my other symptoms - abdominal aches and burning which I had before that on a daily basis most time of the day. Now It's almost gone completely, but it still comes back after I go to sleep - so it awakes me up (but less times than before). In the recent 1-2 months I noticed my symptoms got much better (the abdominal ones) and I presume some of them are due to muscle spasms/dysfunction.
However, I have additional symptoms - they are felt especially in the penile tip (and in the perineal area when touching/pressing there gently) I have them 24/7 (see my signature and my posts on this forum)... I still couldn't find any treatments to make them better or disappear. Anyway, maybe specific alpha blockers could help you too. There are many other approaches and treatments one can try, not only drugs.
Regarding drugs, now I think I'll try TCA/SSRI/SNRI drugs - as there's some chance it might help me with those penile symptoms and/or improve my symptoms further. My quality of sleep is still somewhat poor.
For me the alfuzosin has been a great reliever. It actually surprised me a lot, as it has a more than just a placebo effect on me. But again, Each person is unique and react differently. You might need to trial and error... and in my opinion it's also vital to find a good compassionate and assuring doctor with interpersonal skills and up-to-date knowledge on this complicated subject.

Age: 30 | Onset Age: 19| Symptoms: Urinary frequency, Urinary urgency, constant 24/7 sensation in the penis (in the tip mainly - burning/pressure/discomfort/"wetness"), Nocturia, discomfort and pressure in the pelvic region radiating to the abdomen and becoming severe as time passes since last urination (resolved in 2014 by myofascial release), Stream velocity is somewhat slow and prolonged with an average velocity of ~13cc/min (and max 18cc/min) found in flowmetry test when bladder is filled with 500cc at age 25 (I always feel like I need to press my abdomen to urinate, improved later on when using alpha blockers)| Helped By: especially MYOFASCIAL RELEASE (especially in the areas of hips and abdomen) - generally resolved my abdominal aches, but penile symptoms remained the same| Worsened By: Coffee and possibly some other food as well| Other comments: Quercetin and acupuncture helped me no more than a placebo effect. Age 25-26: Diagnosed with indirect inguinal hernia and medium hydrocele at the same side. After operation many of the acute symptoms disappeared, but the chronic urinary and pelvic symptoms remained much the same.
