CPPS cause of hemorrhoids?

Post by sufferinginpain »

Do you guys think that CPPS causes hemorrhoids? I've had a tense pelvic floor for about 1.5 years now, and suddenly a bubble at the side of my anus showed up.

I went to the GI he inspected it, and also put in a small scope to look inside and said I have some internals and external roids... Question is, is this coincidence? Or it's possible my roids were caused by CPPS, OR this entire time it was just roids and my Urologist never tried to even check?

tell you this, when I saw the GI and I told him about CPPS and all the meds, therapy blahblahblabh.. he said "Tell your Urologist to stick to your balls, but your butt.. thats my job". And WALLA! he instantly found internal roids (mind you my Uro "checked" for internals with a DRE 2 weeks earlier and he said there was nothing).

So I'm at a halt now for two reasons:
  1. I'm not sure if its my CPPS causing it
  2. What it is was roids this entire time?
I have to say that most of my pain has seriously disappeared over time with all the weight loss and dieting, eating healthy, going to the gym. I REALLY feel GREAT. But once the hemorrhoid showed up, things started to decline again. I should add though that the pain is similar to what I used to complain about after a bowel movement, but not even near the pain I used to go through when I first was complaining about pain in the rectum.

So far my GI told me the regular, high Fiber, got some Metamucil, eating very healthy, stay away from red meats, I am really trying to limit my bowel size so that I don't cut or irritate the roids. I also bought some Tucks and other ointments I'm using, along with witch hazel suppositories.

There is a Chinese cream that hundreds of people found to work amazingly called "mayinglong" or something like that, you will find it on Amazon. The reviews are basically all 5 star from verified buyers. I bought that cream as well and I'm waiting for it to come and see what happens...

3 weeks ago I was literally at 90%-95% pain free completely, and when the roid showed up bleh... :/

What are your thoughts?

CP/CPPS does not cause hemorrhoids (piles). Painful hemorrhoids may be a factor in initiating CPPS although no solid evidence exists for this yet.

Remember that piles / hemorrhoids are extremely common, with almost ½ of humanity having them.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Well thats a good then.. Makes me a bit happier.

As soon as I get rid of this roid, I think I'll be 100% because my CPPS as I mentioned is basically cured.

I have mild hemorrhoids on my left side and, it turns out, a mild (only detectable with ultrasound) varicocele on my left side. My pain is also almost exclusively on my left side.

I think hemorrhoids don't cause CPPS, but that people who are prone to hemorrhoids are probably also more prone to CPPS, and some of the same factors (prolonged sitting, clenching of pelvic muscles, etc.) probably cause and exacerbate them.

I don't think distended veins are necessarily the cause of the pain either (since some people apparently have much bigger varicoceles than myself with no pain), but may be a contributing factor (maybe the muscles clench to try to cut off back flow, or maybe one doesn't cause the other, but both have a similar root cause).

I have been taking some supplements designed to help with varicose veins (diosmin and horse chestnut) and they seem to help somewhat.
Current age: 30; Symptoms began: 29; | Symptoms: dull, burning pain in scrotal, perineal and rectal areas, focused on the left side, dull stomach pain when sitting; Improved by: stretching, yoga, Theracane massage (external and internal, though it causes flare-ups), diazepam (valium), hydrocodone (vicodin), hot baths, sleep, relaxed sex, alcohol (a little); Worsened by: SITTING, frequent masturbation/ejaculation, lots of caffeine (but a little's okay); May help a little: Doxazosin (but caused heartburn), Prosta-Q, nerve block injection (provided symptomatic relief for a few days but likely no long-term benefit); NO help: Amitriptyline (Elavil), Cernilton
