Hello,
This is my first post on the forum. I really appreciate what you have all written. I know I am suffering from a urological issue, but my symptoms sound somewhat different from what you are all experiencing (I've never had the golfball, frequent urination, etc).
About 13 months ago, 2 days after oral sex, I felt a burning during urination. All STDs were negative, and I was treated with a ZPack. The burning went away immediately. For the next year, I had a weak stream and the constant sensation that there was some residual urine left in the tip of the penis. But that was mostly it. The problem was annoying, but not debilitating.
I have been on levaquin (28 days), detrol, Uroxatral (still am), Cipro, doxy, and bactrim. Nothing helped.
In the last few months, however, I have been suffering recurrent bouts of epididymitis. Each time I take an antibiotic and it goes away. However, it always comes back. The last bout was accompanied by shooting, excruciating pains in my rectum. I was given another 3-week course of bactrim, and on the last day of the 3 weeks the testicular pain came back and has remained for 10 straight days.
For the first time, this is really painful and ruining my life. I have seen 6 urologists and have appointments with Drs. Alexander and Moldwin. I have read some good stuff on here about Wise-Anderson also.
Please tell me if this experience sounds like anyone elses and offer any advice you can. Thank you all so much for the time.
Please tell me if my symptoms sound like CPPS

The oral sex is immaterial. You have CP/CPPS according to your symptoms. After Alexander and Moldwin, you should stop seeing urologists and give Dr Wise a call.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Hi Bld245,
I would first like to start off by saying I am not a doctor.
If you've gone through the tests with doctors then you are probably in the clear for an STD. Sometimes an STD can cause the pelvic floor and muscles to tighten - almost sort of instinctual reflex, a defense mechanism if you will. A couple of men on this forum had their bout with pelvic pain start with an STD or a one night stand, but the pain they suffered from proved to have nothing to do with an infection in the long term. If your doctor states that you don't have an infection then trust him or her. Its a useless road to continue to blame your pain on some sort of infection if your tests come back negative. It just delays your healing process as well. Its entirely possible that the STD caused your pelvic floor to tighten up, which then causes all sorts of problems with muscles, tissues, organs and nerves.
If you are confirmed to not have any sort of infection I'd suggest taking a look at the starter list here: viewtopic.php?f=34&t=6475
It will help you identify what is causing your problems (if its abacterial).
My personal experience with CPPS was similar to yours and a lot of people on the forum. Tons of antibiotics, urologists, helped occasionally in the short term but did not fix anything in the long run. You can read about what has helped me here: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=7990&start=15#p46177
Antibiotics might make you feel better because of their anti-inflammatory properties (see here: https://ucpps.men/antibiotics-are-anti-inflammatory-agents ). If its confirmed that you do not have an infection then I wouldn't bother doing the antibiotics route. Many of us on here have spent a lot of time and money on antibiotics, which in the long run, did nothing.
I am not a doctor, I'm simply just sharing my experience with pelvic pain. Sorry if all of this information is overwhelming. If you are patient, diligent and spend time educating yourself on CPPS you will beat it.
Hopefully some others can chime in too.
Good luck!

Read my full story here: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=7998
I emphasize the starter list though. It lists all of the things that have helped men identify the source of their problem.
Mine had A LOT to do with stress, exercise, masturbating daily and sitting.

Would anyone be willing to discuss experience with Wise-Anderson clinic with me on phone? Thanks.
