I haven't posted here before but I have been using the forum for research (I am a tireless researcher) regarding my "symptoms". I don't need to go into my symptoms as they are basically the same as everyone else here (or a slight variation).
I am in great health other than this "chronic pain" and I exercise on a regular basis and eat very healthy. This condition and these symptoms have been difficult for me to deal with, just like everyone else. Chronic pain is not fun. I have seen various specialists, I stretch, I foam roll, I have gone to a PT and done the internal stuff (she basically has told me there isn't much more she can do). I have taken valium suppositories and at first they seemed to help but now they don't do anything (10mg).
So where does that leave me? Well it left me with more research as to "why is this happening to me, WHAT is going on?". I came across Dr Sarno's work on TMS. I really think this is key for everyone here to at least take the time to read up on. It might not be a cure for everyone here but it may be a cure for a very high percentage. I don't really have much more to say besides I think I have figured out the path for myself at least and I wanted to give back to the community in case I could help anyone else out.
This is the book I got off Amazon (he has three total) - The Divided Mind: The Epidemic of Mindbody Disorders and I am going to buy this course http://www.runningpain.com/ because I don't have access to Sarno directly and even after reading his book I want "specific" direction in regards to exactly how to go about it. I am tired of this chronic pain and I don't want it to linger any longer.
Anyway, check out the book if nothing. I am pretty blown away by it. The only reason I have come to this conclusion is because I feel like I have exhausted all other avenues and my pain definitely goes up and down on a scale (probably like most everyone else's). I have good days and bad days, sometimes its almost nothing, others its near a 8/9.
I did a quick search on the forum and saw that Sarno came up but its been about 6/7 years and it was only in a few posts. I see so many ppl with the same type of symptoms I think this needs to be revisited. The medical community can't figure this out so I believe you owe it to yourself to at least look into TMS and the work of Sarno. Just my two cents.
Take care,
PB

It can take longer than two months to see results using the Wise-Anderson Protocol... you have only been registered here since February 22, by my assumption you have only been doing the protocol since then. Try what you wish but I would recommend continuing with the protocol for real results.
Age: 24 | Onset Age: 17 | Symptoms: Rare flares with debilitating burning at tip of penis. Sometimes strange pain down legs to feet. Sometime Urgency and Frequency as well as hesitation | Helped By: Self therapy as well as once monthly physical therapist meetings. Relaxation of pelvic muscles. Quit Smoking. | Worsened By: pelvic floor tightening. Anxiety

Re: Something I think will help a LOT of people here
Bobby,
You are young and I can tell by your comment. How do you know when I started the wise anderson protocol? You don't. Just because I registered to a forum two months ago has nothing to do with when I started on any "protocols". Btw, your symptoms are pretty damn close to mine, almost exact to be honest. Its like I could have written your bio because the symptoms and physical therapy and exercises are ALL the same to mine.
"It can take two months or longer to see results", you can tell yourself anything you like but have you seen results? I cannot jump to conclusions (like you did) and assume that you have or have not seen results as I do not know. My post was not to dismiss this protocol at all, if anything the references I posted coincide with this protocol VERY well. In fact I will "go out on a limb" and say that Dr Sarno understands this type of thing about 10x times better than David Wise ever will. I posted on this forum out of love dude, I posted to try an help the fellow members out. If the book/post helps even one person that is cool with me. Personally after reading the book and understanding (truly UNDERSTANDING) what is probably going on with me, I felt compelled to share.
Anyway, adios to this forum, I won't post again. I did what I felt compelled to do, I am happy. I hope a majority of you take the time to at least look into the material (Sarno's books especially). What do you have to lose besides all these "pains in the butt and penis"! Bobby if you are indeed 22, I feel for you to be going through this stuff. I know if I was dealing with pains in the penis and pain during ejaculation at your age it would be wreaking havoc on my brain. It wreaks havoc on my brain now and I am not 22 but to be in the sexual prime of your life, I feel for you. Dont give up the search man, do yourself a favor, spend a few books on Amazon and check out Sarnos material. The worst case is that you are out a few dollars and wasted a few hours of your time. Best case scenario is that you are eventually cured and you can go on being 22 and all the while you just LEARNED something that most people will never even realize.
Take care everyone. Knowledge is power.

PS. One other thing, judging someones knowledge/experience by their "post count" really isn't that wise. Maybe I take in information differently than you, maybe I am a tireless researcher but I just dont "post on forums" in order to get my research. My post count will stay at 2 forever on this forum but the information I shared is probably more valuable than someone with a post count of 500 (if they are not cured). Food for thought.
