Hello Everyone,
I am new to this forum and spent quite some time searching through all the posts I found relevant to my problem.
when I was first diagnosed with CP I was very unsure if I actually had it, or whether I has been misdiagnosed. The reason for this being that it started as a sexual problem, and still is, although I have now developed some other symptoms.
I was firstly diagnosed with Urethritis after a Cystoscopy for which I was given a course of cypro - didn't help. Then about 6 months later after no improvement I was diagnosed with CP by a Uro. I was baffled to say the least.
I am lucky in that I am not in much pain from the prostate, just general aching discomfort which a can live with, also itching anus which is sometimes aggravated by bowel movements.
My main problem is penis pain. At first it just ached after sex - if I have sex once, feels like i've had it ten times - but now it has become unsightly. Foreskin is red & blotchy and veins look prominent and painful, glans is painful and dry. I basically cannot have sex as it is too painful, and I have not got the confidence to meet anyone now as I'm so aware how horrible the little fella looks anyway.
What I would like to know is - Have these penis problems got anything to do with CP? I have heard of referred penis pain, but not these symptoms. I do not understand how it can be related, if anyone has any ideas I would welcome any advice.
I like many am becoming so depressed by this, not being able to have sex in your early 20's feels like a disability to me. That said, I know I am not alone in this feeling, you all have my utmost sympathy and respect for continuing to fight this shi**y thing. I hope we can remain as positive as possible, I'm sure a significant breakthrough will happen in the not too distant future.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Yes, penile pain is a very common symptom, and changes in appearance of the "little fella" are common too. Simply put, it is caused by nerves to the region. In CRPS (regional pain syndrome), which is related to CPPS/PM, skin innervated by affected nerves also changes color and texture. Others might like offer further comments ....
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Blotchy skin
Yes my little fella looks all blotchy on occasion but I wrote it off due to the running I do . I did have an itchy butt for a long time , so bad it would bleed , but has cleared up . I think it was something to do with giving up a lot of foods and alcohol and caffeine for a long period of time . But not positive . I've had huge prostate flare ups if I have unprotected sex. If I use a condom only get ejaculation pain . And that too is fading since I've been using skilled relaxation . Don't give up .
