Experience with therapy thus far..looking for input
I have probably had 9 or 10 sessions thus far...I have hit my medical deductible now so I will continue as long as they will take me (max of 46 sessions per year)........My rectal pain has greatly diminished it is almost non existent ... However a pain has magnified that is even worse than the rectal pain...I wouldnt call it testicle pain and I wouldnt call it perineal pain it seems to be below the testicles but above the perineum..I dont even know if that makes sense....It is an intense pain much different than pain I have had before....I have changed the way I sit..I realized I was always leaning on my left side and clenching to avoid putting pressure on right testicle...I don't know if this is causing it, if the therapy is causing it, or if it is just natural progression.....I am trying to remain optimistic but this is so frustrating and is starting to damage my work and family relationships.
Age:38 | Onset Age:37 | Symptoms: Pain primarily in right testicle, greatly worsened after urination although recently whole scrotum feels inflamed again..no urinary issues..this is my third and longest bout in last 8 years...Never have burning in urethra after urination but scrotum and rectum will feel inflamed afterwards.
Helped by: Warmth, walking, valium some, hydrocodone sometimes helps
Worsened by: Sitting, pain day after sex, bowel movements, sugary foods, seemingly ibuprofen and advil?...supplements like vitamin d, quercetin, saw palmetto cause worse pain, certain antibiotics make pain much worse as well.

When I started my PT sessions the pain changed too! I looked at it as it was getting to the affected area, hence the change! It is internal as well or only external? Keep your chin up, it's been a year almost, July 04/10 when this ride started for me! I can say now I'm almost 95% back, but it was a wicked ride! My break came when I went on Elavil and Flexeril and when I started my PT sessions!
But I guess were all different!
