Had my fifth session with my PT, she went internal again today for the second time, she found a few things of interest!!! I feel better after the treatment! This makes me pretty pumped, been having a few bad days lately and needed some good news! The only real issue I get now is some burning at the tip, not always, but when it's there I know about it!
Just wondering if when you get internal work done, do the trigger pinots scream at you or do they just mumble? Mine are not screaming, but she did find some very painful spots!

Re: Internal work?
Some of mine, yesterday felt like she was pulling a rusty knife through an open wound! Then after she neutralised them and massaged them they felt less painful, but still, today, they are inflamed and sore, but it's no wonder considering how long they were there. I will keep an eye on them and try massaging and treating them regularly to work out the tightness. That sounds like you are on the right track!

Re: Internal work?
That's generally how it is with me, the feeling that an open wound is being manipulated. That would still indicate dysfunction, of course! I didn't have any shockingly direct referrals until we went up front and worked around the prostate, but it's different for everyone. Some people just have extreme hypertonicity, which is more my issue.
I am not a physician. This is not medical advice. Consult your doctor!

Yup, some people have extreme hypertonicity and others have major TrPs (and some have both!). My reactions have been similar to those listed here. Extreme pain -- feels like an open wound is being pressed (very sharp pain).
One tip that Tim Sawyer gave me is to take a hot bath after treatment. This tends to lessen the flare-up post-treatment.
