Perineal & sphincter pain

Post by bob33 »

I recently have new symptoms. I can't sit in a car or any type of chair without feeling perineal pain over the sphcinter. Also, my sphcinter muscle is tight and in spasms. If anyone has any info on what helps them, please let me know Even lying down flat in bed, I feel nit a little. I can't see going through life not being able to sit. That's crazy. Has anyone ever gone to a pain clinic for C.P,.? I am a 13 year sfferer of C.P. First, in one testicle, got better, then in scrotom and both testicles. Now I have weakness in upper right leg and pelvis. Pain just doesn't stop. Any suggestions or specialists that I can check out?

Bob,
I suffer very similar pain. I do also have pain in the urethra and BM sometimes increase pain dramatically. Like you, I aften ask how can I live like this, but 1 year has passed and I'm still alive (some days I feel very depressed.... but I keep on fighting).
Special cushions doesnt work with me as any presion provoke pain, Better normal soft pillows.
I work in an office and I bought a knee sit, but I spend most of the time standind (i put a box on my desk and the laptop on it... so I can work standing)
My life is limited but I hope one day this will be over.
Good luck

sitting pain

I put extra cushions on all my chairs and seats in my work truck . Has helped . I also sit on the corner of one butt cheek whenever I can and it distributes the pain away from my perinieum . Standing helps but it sure makes it hard to see my comp screen . Watch the depression . As you read on this web site you will see that stress makes it worse . Keep fighting . There are lots of things to try . Also try reclining back when you sit . Don"t hunch as it seems to irritate all the nerve endings along the perinieum and the groin . For me anyways .
