Not posted for ages due to recovery all my symptoms have slowly faded away in the last few months like it often does for me after a few years, not sure why not been treating it of late but its just my pattern. I'm not cured and can flare myself with straining, alcohol and to much sex but the flares are very short lived and avoiding these things leaves me 100 % pain free !!
Soon as my tennis elbow heals I will be human again
Keep the faith guys, I'm sure I will be back one day :icon11:

Age:33 | Onset Age:19 | Symptoms:burning urethra, deep sore stinging around the perineum, dribbling | Helped By:when flare starts deep relaxing over a toilet to let out dribbling urine, hot bath, rubbing a heat cream on the perineum, Tens with a pad on the perineum, running, medication (solpadol) for pain. Current treatment: PT. | Worsened By:sitting, stressing over it, ejaculation, sometimes alcohol but I risk it. Been feeling a lot better last 6 months about 85% with a few flares lasting about 5 days. No longer having PT. Stretching every other night and I believe time is also a big factor for me
Great news. I hope this symptom free period will last a long time. I love to read these kind of posts since they keep the faith alive. Thanks and good luck!
34 yrs old. Now rectal pain, some suprabic discomfort an occasional urgency. Still trying to figure out what helps. Episode of frequency in 2008 but this dissapeared for a year.
Ah this is brilliant news! Pain, as much as we hate it, is important. We all wish for it to be taken away, but it's actually our friend and it guides us and tells us that something's wrong, so when I hear that You can flare after certain things, that's just your body saying "Hey you! Take it easy on me".
This is all I would expect and want in regards recovery. You will lead a better more healthier life and you will have listened to your body and hopefully continue to do so. Your story will have put a smile on lots of people's faces, thanks for taking the time and effort to let us know!
All the best,
