I was wondering if anyone has bought/read any different books than HITP and have found them helpful?
I've bought The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Clair Davies but there's only a small section that I found relevant for myself. Before I go out and buy more I thought I gauge everyone's opinion on here and see what they have found helpful or informative. I noticed a couple on Amazon while I was browsing:
Heal Pelvic Pain by Amy Stein - Which deals with Stretching/strengthening exercises, nutritional tips and stress management
Evidence Based Physiotherapy for the Pelvic Floor by Kari bo, Bary Berghmans, Siv Morkved & Marijke Van Kampen - Which apparently bridges the gap between evidence based research and clinical practices.
Has anyone read these books or heard of the authors? If so any feedback would be appreciated

Age: 43 | Onset Age: 33 | Symptoms: Burning in urethra and tip of penis at meatus. Lower back pain and occasional dull ache in groin & testicles. Pain in coccyx and left side buttock when sitting | Medication: Quercetin 1000mg, Omega 3, Turmeric 1500mg, Shilajit Extract 400mg, Ashwagandha 920mg, Glucosamine/Condroitin | Helped By: stretching, rest, light exercise, sitz baths | Worsened By: sitting for long periods of time, driving, stressful situations | Comments: I'm 90% better and don't experience much burning anymore, but get the occasional flare. My main problem now is the sitting pain, which can be quite debilitating at times. I'm sure it's something to do with the exercises & stretching I've been doing as I didn't have this problem a year ago!

Re: Helpful books
Hey,
I have Amy Stein's book. It is OK. If you have read HITP you have probably already learned most of what you will get out of this book as the concepts are the same. She stresses physical therapy and exercise as well as relaxation techniques. I bought the book because I was starting physical therapy with someone in her group, Beyond Basics in NYC and wanted to see what it would be all about. I have been to three sessions so far and it is still too early to tell if it is helping. After I go for a few more sessions I will report back on my experience.
