New guy

Post by fatalitylord »

Hey guys thought I'd put my story up here too see whether anyone has had the same problems as me...

I suffered from severe urethritis for about 2 months (not sure what triggered this) as I always use protection with my gf. Anyway was getting serious burning and frequency. Iv took 5 different antibiotics, had all the tests and swabs done yet nothing seems to be curing me. The inflammation phase has gone but my urinary symptoms have persisted. These include the following:
  • Occasional urgency and frequency
  • Pain just below the penis head (Short sharp pains) can go days without getting these. Going to the gym or stress seems to trigger this symptom!
  • Clear discharge (Mainly after urinating)
  • If I need the toilet I'm leaking before I even start.
  • Discomfort/pain after urinating.
  • Urine retention (feeling that its stuck somewhere in the pipe) have to squeeze my legs together to get it all out.

I'm currently seeing the chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome doctor at my local clinic. I have been taking alpha blockers for 28 days now with mild improvement. but symptoms seem to come and go in severity which is quite annoying. He believes urine is backflowing into my bladder which is causing a whole lot of nasties such as a inflamed prostate. Went to a Urologist, he said it was all in my head! Great! I've got a wonderful girlfriend who is supportive but I sometimes feel isolated/depressed about this situation. I'm only 20 years old! On waiting list for cystoscopy which I'm not looking forward too and going back to see the chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome guy soon. Maybe he can refer me to a PT?

Si.

I encourage anxiety prone UCPPS people to consider L-Theanine
Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.
