Hello...
Just wanted to let you know that I think for those of you who are recovering enough to get back to the gym. Stair master is a fantastic low impact cardio workout that I think actually loosens up the pelvic floor as long as you drop the pelvis as you step up...30 to 40 minutes is amazing!!!It's also a great fat burner for those that can loose a few pounds. All it is is walking up stairs...no running...
I started doing this about 1.5 months ago...I recommend it highly!!!
It could be the endorphins that are being released providing the extra bit of UCPPS relief and just enjoying it could be a factor...All I know is I put myself from 95% recovered to 99% approaching 4 years since my onset...So time and hard work and using the tools here will get you there!!! I will keep you all posted as I continue with this program...
I think I may add it to my starter list in a few months if I continue to be at 99% recovered at this point...
Wishing all of you to be pain free soon!!! You will be there...
Best

I encourage anxiety prone UCPPS people to consider L-Theanine
Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.

Great to hear this.
While I know there has been some debate over running exacerbating symptoms, I'd have to say that it has helped me a lot - from both a physical and mental perspective.
And yes, it definitely has that endorphin kick you mentioned...

I don't see why not...Except the constant turning would bother me...
