As I'm waiting for my ProstaProtek starter pack to arrive, I decided to go on an elimination diet my doctor had given me a while ago (I put it on the back burner as I didn't put much stock in food allergy).
The diet involves eating only totally plain fresh meat (no chicken), fresh fruit (no citrus) and fresh vegetables and drinking only bottled mineral water. After 10-14 days on the diet, you start to reintroduce foods for one day only, to see what effect they may have. When I began, I was in the middle of a particularly bad flare. I'm now 5 days into it and completely asymptomatic. Coincidence? I usually do have good spells inbetween flares so it's more than likely that's all it is. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has had good results from excluding certain foods however.

I had a fantastic reaction to eliminating wheat (in 1993). Energy levels way up, etc. Now, if I eat wheat, I get a big, broad pain in my pelvis, of a kind that reminds me of the worst times. I speculate that the proliferated mast cells in my pelvis are reacting to the wheat proteins in my blood stream (food particles/molecules can make it into the blood stream, recent science proves, especially if you have a "leaky" gut).
However, your mileage may vary, and you may not be sensitive to wheat.

Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
