Flomax and muscle pain?
I have been on Flomax for 4 or 5 years. For the last 2 1/2 or so years, I have developed chronic muscle aching, and sometimes even pain throughout my body. But it is always worst in my buttock muscles and hamstrings--always sore. I have suspected the aching might be as a result of the long term use of Flomax, so I've tried going off the Flomax--once for almost 2 weeks. The muscle aching didn't improve in that short period, and the problems urinating at night were so bad I went back on Flomax. Further, my mother reminded me that when I was a child, I had an allergic reaction to Sulfa, which is an ingredient in Flomax. Could my whole-body muscle aching be a buildup of Flomax having used it for so many years? Should I ask my Urologist to try an alternative to Flomax? Anyone have success with Saw Palmetto/Cranberry extract?

Re: Flomax and muscle pain?
Sulfa allergy would be a very good reason to quit Flomax. Get your doc to prescribe another one, like Uroxatral.
