Well, I been doing quite well over the last few months except a brief flare early in the year when the weather was colder.
So, being horny and stupid as I am. I had unprotected BJ with a girl I didn't know well. Woke up this morning and felt a bit discomfort, nothing major but looking down I see a few dark colored patch around the tip of the penis...
oh great.. instant panic set in....
should I run in the doc's office and demand some antibiotic now? or?
yes yes, I was stupid.
Ok, freaked out a bit on possible STD

Dark colored? Do you mean a deeper red or other color? Near the opening of the urethra? Any discharge? Itchy feeling?
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Dark kinda like bruise, deep red, near the opening with no feeling or discharge. Discomfort is of other areas, typical chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome irritated feeling, which could be brought on by the panic.
God knows I'm a boyscout most of my life but a slip of the better sense got me last night. The feeling of regret and panic is worse than anything right now. My mind is just running wild for most of the day. I"m just really pissed at myself for the lack of judgement.

That's not a sign of infection, IMO. It's much more likely a neurologically-mediated skin blemish, a little like what happens with CRPS.

Thanks, web, you are a light in the darkness for us.
I'm a bit calmer today, 24 hours after the exposure, but still a lot of quilt and shame.
Searched a bit and found some useful discussion at medhelp.com, from a Dr. Edward:

Seems I don't have to worry too much at least at this point, will wait a day or two then maybe go see the county STD place. I'm too embarrassed to see my long time family doc at this point. If you become symptomatic, get tested (symptoms of STD however never start within 24-36 hours of exposure). Second, for bacterial STDs (gonorrhea, chlamydia, NGU) a test at 3 days will give reliable results. For herpes we do not recommend testing unless there are symptoms and the symptoms of HSV typically start between 4 and 10 days after exposure. Syphilis is very rare and not a concern. For HIV blood tests are the way to go and results after 4 weeks are typically reliable although it may take up to 8 weeks for results to be 100% reliable in rare situations.

Re: Ok, freaked out a bit on possible STD
Hi,
I doubt that you have an STD, as men with our condition tend to get patches of discoloration down there from time to time. It's just the nerves acting up. Still, get tested, just to be safe.
Having said that, I wouldn't be embarrassed to see your GP. Sex is a part of life and they've no doubt handled such cases before. Just tell him/her that you were with a new woman and then this showed up, so you're wanting a little peace of mind. That's it!
There's no reason to be ashamed and guilty. I find nothing shameful in sexuality. Of course, I don't advise you to do it again with someone you've just met (especially unprotected), but that's for reasons of safety. Take it easy on yourself and realize that this was, if nothing else, a small and probably harmless slip.

I am not a physician. This is not medical advice. Consult your doctor!
