Letter of Medical Necessity/Quercetin
Has anyone asked for a letter of medical necessity for Quercetin, so that they could pay for it from a flexible benefits plan? I have a follow-up appointment with my uro next month and think I may ask for one. He had heard about quercetin and was good with my taking it, although I doubt he would have recommended it to someone who had never heard of it. I'm down to one any accredited quercetin product a day---I've been feeling much better recently, 6 months after my flare-up started, which I guess is pretty typical---but it still isn't cheap. From what I hear, with a letter from your doc you can pay for just about anything from a flexible benefits account, even a sauna or spa, Asking for one for quercetin seems especially legit. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried it and run into trouble.

My FSA has been pretty flexible. Once I was recommended a high dose of vitamin E (not for CPPS), and simply having the doc write that on a his script pad was enough to get it through.
