Anybody else have pain only on one side?

Post by memphis »

My pain is 100% localized to the left side. Never had any trouble with the right side. Anyone else have this situation?

mine is mostly on my right...Although it does fluctuate here and there, but for the most part, definitely the right side.
Good to go!

Yes. I m new to this but only have pain on the left. I have played squash for nearly 40 years now and have all sorts of issues with my left hand side - hamstrings going etc. This is supposedly because I am very strong on the right and have a muscular imbalance. Illipsoas muscle had trigger points on it but this has not made prostatitis go. Still working on a solution. let me know if you find one.....
Age: 46 | Onset Age: 44 | Symptoms: weak stream, pain whilst sitting, some pain during sex (although its kind of nice) occasional spasms of pain somewhere down there | Helped By: doing anything other than sitting down, being on holiday | Worsened By: sitting down - especially travel , alchohol

For me the pain feels central and slightly to the right. It is all manifested in trigger points running along the levator ani along the right side internally though.

My pain is mostly on the right side, but I occasionally get some on the left. It's quite strange when this happens as I do not feel pain in the right side - It's either one side or the other, but predominantly on the right!

I have been to 4 PT sessions but haven't found any internal trigger points. My therapist has found plenty of external ones though and I am working on those. Generally I feel better than I did 5 months ago when I found out about CPPS, and much better than when this started almost 3 years ago
Age: 43 | Onset Age: 33 | Symptoms: Burning in urethra and tip of penis at meatus. Lower back pain and occasional dull ache in groin & testicles. Pain in coccyx and left side buttock when sitting | Medication: Quercetin 1000mg, Omega 3, Turmeric 1500mg, Shilajit Extract 400mg, Ashwagandha 920mg, Glucosamine/Condroitin | Helped By: stretching, rest, light exercise, sitz baths | Worsened By: sitting for long periods of time, driving, stressful situations | Comments: I'm 90% better and don't experience much burning anymore, but get the occasional flare. My main problem now is the sitting pain, which can be quite debilitating at times. I'm sure it's something to do with the exercises & stretching I've been doing as I didn't have this problem a year ago!

painagain:

Sorry it took me a while in getting back to you, I haven't been online in a bit!

I don't have any trigger points that replicate the pain I experience, but I have been working on serveral in my abdomin, glutes and in my legs (quads and adductors). I find stretching and exercise helps a lot, and my PT recommended I get a foam roller to work on my legs which has been great.

I used to be really fit when I was younger and feel some of this has been caused by physical inactivity on my part, as well as stress. The more I sit down and don't do anything the worse I get! I've had a bit of a relapse lately and it's been at a time when I haven't really been going to the gym or doing my exercises!

Have you managed to find any trigger points or something that helps you relieve the pain?
