Cernitin

Has anyone tried, or had success, with Cernitin? I tried a search on the forum, but didn't see any post. It was one of the things prescribed by Dr. Nickel, along with any accredited quercetin product and Terazosin.

You'll find references to "Cernilton", not Cernitin. Cernitin™ pollen extract is contained in Cernilton™. Cernitin is a trademarked standardized flower pollen extract from a variety of plants, usually the rye-grass pollen Secale cereale.

Cernilton, Cernitin, Cernitol are all trademarks belonging to Swedish company AB Cernelle and their American subsidiary and distributor, Graminex (Saginaw, Michigan).

Note: Some of Quercetin suppliers products contain pollen extracts from AB Cernelle, eg Quercetin, where it is (mis)labelled "Bee Pollen".

People often confuse bee pollen with Cernilton/Cernitin pollen extracts. Unlike bee pollen, which bees may treat with their saliva and which can be contaminated with all sorts of things, the products from AB Cernelle are bee antigen free. "Bee pollen" is actually pollen from flowers that is collected from bees as they enter the hive or is harvested by other means. Pollen granules stick to the bees' legs and other body parts as they help themselves to nectar inside the flowers. AB Cernelle developed a way to collect pollen directly from the flowers, cutting out the bee problem.

Cernilton has antiandrogenic and anti-inflammatory effects influencing alpha1-adrenoblockers located in the zone of the detrusor and urethra.

There are a variety of studies supporting the use of pollen extracts for CP/CPPS.

We've had no dramatic cure stories, but it is another weapon against chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome that's worth trying, unless you have a very atopic (allergic) disposition, because some people do react to pollen derivatives.

I have a product at home called "Prostaphil-2". From the bottle: "Prostaphil-2 is defined pollen extract, a botanical extract first crafted nearly half a century ago in Sweden. Defined pollen extract is not bee pollen, but a defined blend of fat- and water-soluble extracts from specific sources in characteristic ratios."

Is this cernilton? Can you take too much of this stuff? What did you think of the first product I mentioned (Relexin)? Are these two products similar, based on your knowledge?

Canuck, I had a four year remission in all pain symptoms a few months after I started taking cerniton (rye pollen). I thought that it was the cermiton that helped me, but I'm not so sure now, because the pain has returned (triggered by me holding my bladder too long again a couple of months ago). Cerniton (Graminex) does not seem to be helping me at all this time, so it may just be a coincidence that it helped me before.

anybody knows where can I get Cernitol on its genuine swedish form? I found only this website http://www.health-supplement.co.uk/webs ... rnelle.php but they do not accept any type of visa, master card....and never reply to my questions...Its imposible to buy from Sweden
