I had a bout with prostatitis beginning in Oct. '07. After several rounds of antibiotics that didn't really help, I dealt with the situation as best I could and the symptoms resolved in Mar. '08. Current flare-up began in Aug. '08. Doc gave me more antibiotics (to no avail) so I did some research and found this site. I took information with me when I saw the doc last week. When my urine analysis came back clean, I proposed the possibility that I might be suffering from CPPS. He agreed that it couldn't hurt to treat my condition as chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome and put me on Uroxatral.
The few comments I have seen on this forum regarding Uroxatral have not been positive. I was just wondering if anyone has had positive results with this alpha blocker. Thanks.
Jeff

Re: Uroxatral Newbie
Uros love give this alpha blocker to treat CPPS. If it helps, it tends to help after a long time (up to 3 months). Either keep taking it to see what happens, or move straight to physical and psychological therapy (as in the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol).
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
