Re: Bladder Not Feeling Empty
Hi Raptor,
I'm sorry that you have been dealing with this so long. I have your symptom of "need to pee", but it comes and goes. When it stays, it can stay for a week or more. The feeling is horrible. I just try to stay busy and ignore it.
I can't offer any advice other than try everything that exists out there that you have heard helps other people in some way. Because everyone's pathology is so different, it's impossible to know when something will work for a person. It's simple trial and error.
I have taken every supplement, prescription, remedy known to mankind and have spent a small fortune on doctors, specialists, healers, etc. Even though I am still not well, I will never give up my quest to finding out what exactly is wrong with me. I may be that I never learn, but I'll go to be deathbed trying.

Yes, it was helpful but did not cure me. There isn't anything you could name that I haven't tried to will be trying in the next few months.
I'm not giving up.

Re: Bladder Not Feeling Empty
Just to go on record here that I have had this same symptom since I was 17. I'm 33 now. Sometimes it's an intense feeling. Sometimes it's light. But it's always there and is a major factor in my life preventing me from doing many things.

Age: 39 | Onset Age: 17 | Symptoms: Constant feeling of needing to urinate felt in the tip of penis. Frequency. Urgency. None of the typical pain associated with CPPS. | Helped By: Valium, Klonopin, and very hot baths, followed by lying down still/doing relaxation. Also made almost symptom free for a few seconds following a bowel movement. | Worsened By: stress, anxiety, skipping meals, lack of sleep, extended sitting, coffee, alcohol. NO other pain or discomfort although after ejaculation symptoms will usually get worse unless I lie still for 20 minutes or so. | Other comments: Symptoms began at the moment of ejaculation, disappeared after a few months and then returned a few months later and have not gone away since.
Re: Bladder Not Feeling Empty
Same here, a constant feeling of need to urinate, as there's urine in my urethra, accompanied by feelings of pressure and sometimes burning in my abdomen, pubic and pelvic area. I also have had many trigger points in my abdomen. My symptoms are mainly in the anterior area of the pelvis (urinary symptoms as mentioned in my signature). I suspect it's something to do with the muscles of the pelvic floor and/or abdominal ones. I don't know what caused it all from the beginning, but the year it started (7+ years ago) I had a very tense period in life.
Regarding a feeling the bladder is not empty, I have this feeling too, most of the time. I also have dribbling after each urination and sometimes I can also feel a continuous dribbling in a very small amounts. In the first few months when it started I didn't have much of anything but urgency and urinary frequency, but within 2-4 months the additional symptoms appeared/developed and became chronic. I was also got tested for urine residual. In the first few Ultrasounds there was none after urination, but after few years a small urine residual was found (40-100 cc).
Today I learned to go less often to urinate. I can bear and wait around 3 hours most of the days between urinations, yet the symptoms get worse the more I wait.
You can find my experience in the General Discussion forum (I joined recently). I plan on going to see a PT/neurologist (after seeing many urologists for many years).
I think it's a good thing we can get connected in the forum and realize that we are not alone and support each other.

Age: 30 | Onset Age: 19| Symptoms: Urinary frequency, Urinary urgency, constant 24/7 sensation in the penis (in the tip mainly - burning/pressure/discomfort/"wetness"), Nocturia, discomfort and pressure in the pelvic region radiating to the abdomen and becoming severe as time passes since last urination (resolved in 2014 by myofascial release), Stream velocity is somewhat slow and prolonged with an average velocity of ~13cc/min (and max 18cc/min) found in flowmetry test when bladder is filled with 500cc at age 25 (I always feel like I need to press my abdomen to urinate, improved later on when using alpha blockers)| Helped By: especially MYOFASCIAL RELEASE (especially in the areas of hips and abdomen) - generally resolved my abdominal aches, but penile symptoms remained the same| Worsened By: Coffee and possibly some other food as well| Other comments: Quercetin and acupuncture helped me no more than a placebo effect. Age 25-26: Diagnosed with indirect inguinal hernia and medium hydrocele at the same side. After operation many of the acute symptoms disappeared, but the chronic urinary and pelvic symptoms remained much the same.

Re: Bladder Not Feeling Empty
I have this same problem. Always going and then feeling like I have to go again. When my pain gets really really bad I can go like every five minutes. Not sure if that means I have chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome or IC or frankly if there is any difference.
Age: 36 | Onset Age: 20 | Symptoms: frequency, perineum pain, pain going from the perineum going up the penis through the uretha and Ibs constipation. Chronic pelvic pain everyday and anxiety| Helped By: heat pads, excersise, but really haven't found anything | Worsened By: ejaculation, stress, constipation, travel

Re: Bladder Not Feeling Empty
I take a diuretic and for years thought all of these symptoms were that. I had a brief bout of prostatitis a year ago which I still didn't realize was related, now a second wave has made me realize this. It's usually manageable for me and just a part of life, but ugh these last two weeks have been driving me insane.
