I'm new, and don't know if this is what I have

Post by oz811 »

Hello,

My name is Austin.

I'm 18 years old and I live in southern Ontario Canada.

I don't know where to begin, so I'll start with saying that I've had anxiety issues all my life that have recently in the last two years have taken centerfold.

In late july august I began to feel frequency and urgency when I peed, I ended up taking a week of a Cipro and when I was on the medication my symptoms went away. about a week after that, I began to get the symptoms again, but this time I was peeing very little, and my stream was week and I was getting pelvic gassy pain, It got so bad that I thought I couldn't pee, I had to get a catheter stuck in me for a few days, and the doc at the hospital said my Prostate was enlarged and put me on another two weeks of Cipro.

Again on the Cipro, I began to pee fine, but as soon as I got off, boom my symptoms began to reappear. SO I went on ANOTHER two weeks of Levaquin, went on, symptoms started to go away, but this time they were still apparent sometimes when I got stressed out, I'm now off the levaquin, and I have these symptoms still, and its distressing me, I have to pee constantly, I always feel flushed, Sometimes my testicles seem to shrink? does anyone get this? for no reason, they just shrink and it gets harder to pee. I've got a weak stream. I'm just depressed. I notice when I focus on them more they get worse (and for someone with anxiety this happens a lot)

On the 16th of this month I'm getting a camera stuck up there too see what's going on, but who knows what they will find, I'm really stressed over this, My temperature is always around 37. 0 C- 37. 5 C which isn't always a fever but its definitely higher then normal.

AHHH its so frustrating, :62_58_40:

Does it sound like I have what you guys have? and what should I do? because I don't want to go on antibiotics anymore but they seem to be the only thing that are helping me
Age:28 | Onset Age:18 (went away for 10 years) Back again at 28 | Symptoms: Frequent need to pee. Weak stream. Burning at the tip of penis. Pain in pelvic area. | Helped By: Heat. Not thinking about it | Worsened By: Freaking out. Masturbation | Other comments:

Welcome Austin,

You have come to the right place...Read this forum and site carefully. The term " pelvic myoneuropathy" is important to understand so you know what is likely happening to you. Understanding that anxiety plays a big role in symptoms.

Also AB's have an anti-inflammatory effect...Stop taking them...you don't have an infection. If you have to, have your urologist do an expressed prostatic secretion to culture the fluid from the prostate. You will have some white cells or puss cells that indicate inflammation, but not infection. After the culture comes back negative...you know AB's are of no use.

Get your free sample of any accredited quercetin product from the site advertisement here and try it. Give it a few weeks to help.

Get " A headache in the pelvis" to learn more about CP/CPPS and the protocol

Find a PT by contacting Dr. Wise himself

Consider low dosage Elavil 5 to 10 mg or some sort of Benzo like Xanax/to break the anxiety cycle under a doctor's care

learn about yoga type stretches and carefully loosen up the tight muscles

Take Aleve (naproxen) as needed or some sort of NSAID carefully!!

Anxiety control is of most importance right now....Get the help you need to deal and manage your anxiety!!

Also your cystoscopy will most likely show normal but I got mine for the peace of mind that nothing serious was there... :-D

Good luck and keep us posted...

I encourage anxiety prone UCPPS people to consider L-Theanine
Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.

Testicles shrink into a small ball when the muscles of the pelvis are tightened up. This is a good indication that you are indeed one of us.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
