8/1/08...Today I turned 40..

Post by carld »

8/1/08...Today I turned 40...and I'm very grateful...My wife is having a big party for me on Sat. night with many of my old friends and family attending. It's going to be wonderful...

As I reflect over the last few years...I'm glad to be 40 and I have a wonderful support system in my wife, my children, friends, people I work with and my internet friends from this site. Like many of you, I have been through a lot with this condition, but believe it or not, I'm a better man because of it. I think true recovery starts first with accepting this condition and slowly going from there.

Peace and happiness to all of us here. Life is a blessing with many lessons to learn. :-D

Cheers, Carl...

Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.

Congrats, Carl, and I agree completely with the thoughts you expressed above. chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome can change your life, no, it will change your life, but if you're smart, you can make it a positive change.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Thank you all....
Party was a blast!! Old friends from preschool to 7th grade came...about 55 people and all I can say is that there was a lot of love in the air...Brothers as I call them, hugging and laughing and drinking. One of the best nights of my life next to my wedding and the birth of my two children. Old friends re-connecting. I truely have the best friends in the world!!!
