Update and...what gives, I gotta pee dude!

Post by chath »

A little update for those seeking encouragement. I went to Dr. Wise's clinic back in Aug of '07...so we are coming up on a year. I happy to say that the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol is truly a blessing. I would say after about 9 or 10 months of rigorous treatment (relaxing at least once a day, sometimes 30 mins in the morning, 20 mins at lunch and 30 mins in the evening....stretching at least once a day....and internal work a few times a week) I really hit my stride and starting coming out of the fog of CPPS. I still have some symptoms...but really minor. I can handle them and generally they don't worry me. I found that worrying and anxiety really pore fuel on the fire. So, for those of you who are just starting the SP or are only a few months in, keep up the work, you will get the results...have faith.

But...I got a weird symptom going on now....like, dude, I gotta pee like crazy. But...no pain. Strange for me, at least. I always had a pain issue. Some frequency, but nothing like this. I have a sort of tight feeling right over the bladder. My question for those in the know: is this CPPS? Bladder infection?

If this is a sudden new symptom you've never had before, see a family doc to check for infection. Otherwise ask yourself if you've suddenly changed your diet (new foods, new drinks, different quantity of drink).
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

The frequency thing can be very unpredictable. The only advice I would have is to make sure you keep yourself hydrated. I think that my frequency sometimes increases when i let myself get more dehydrated and my urine is more acidic.

I'm not certain - but it's a theory...

It's gotten better.......It started on Sunday (was at it's worst Monday night) and has gradually eased since. GRRRRRR frustrating.

Sounds like.....I will be cruising along doing great and then wham for a few days frequency kicks up. It is annoying and I do worry everytime it won't stop but does, so now I just ride it out. I think it may have something to do with my abs just tightening up after while. I seem to flair up ever few weeks now I believe. During my good spells I drink soda(1 to 2 per week), eat whatever and no problems and then for know known reason frequency or muscles will just tighten up around lower abs. I am just hoping good spells get longer and longer!
Age 32, onset 32 Onset Aug 07- frequency was main problem in the beginning-really bad. Now 1 to 2x per night when frequency flairs up. Sore and tight lower abdominal muscles. Occasional burning after bowel movement and full feeling. What helps: Healthy diet(this is huge for me) Started drinking super greens supplament and almost going totally vegetarian to get body more alkaline, starting Prosta-Q, quercetin/zinc tablet in morning helped frequency problem I believe. Massaging abs and doing stretches helps calm down frequency when it is acting up. Wine or vodka after long day. Flexeral and melatonin at night. Swimming and light weights. .5 of Elavil every other day helps with frequency and healing process. Trying to stay positive and not stressing over this!
