I'm currently looking for a few persons that would share their experience of prostatitis/CPPS on video.
Just to tell you a little about me... I'm a 28 years and live in London UK. I have been dealing with CP for the past 4 years. At first things where extremely bad; beside the constant low back pain and difficulty passing urine, the biggest killer for me was actually Anxiety and Depression symptoms. At the time I really thought that I was going crazy and it was very hard for me to explain to doctors what my problems where. It took the NHS two years to diagnose me with CP: during the that period I noticed with my own eye traces of blood in my urine (hematuria), and I quickly run to my GP. The poor man was already familiar with some of my symptoms, but he was treating them individually. I was taking antidepressant for anxiety and mood swings, and pain killers for lower back pain. At the time I was so out of it that the urinary symptoms weren't noticeable to me; I lost my job and stayed home thinking that I was about to have a nervous breakdown. After the blood in the urine episode I went for a series of test (Cystoscopy...!!) and it was at that time that through a ultrasound they discovered that my prostate presented large a calcification area around itself. The rest is pretty much the usual "procedure" , like many of us in this forum:
- antibiotics to make sure the bacteria has gone
- billions of different kind of alfa-blockers, antidepressants, pain-killers and so on...
I am now at my second year and I'm planning to film a documentary about prostatitis/CPPS. I have already contacted a few urologist from UCH to investigate the medical nature of CP. What I'm looking for here, is any of you guys, that could spare half a day answering a few question about his own experience with CP. You don't have to look like Tom Cruise or being camera friendly; simply tell us a bit about some of the symptoms experienced and the impact it had on normal day to day life.
I really hope to find any of you interested in the matter and willing to give light to this depressing "disease". Once again, UK residents and London area preferably.

Many thanks,
William
